Today, this squirrel and his buddies ran Peep ragged around the yard, playing "chicken" and double teaming her! It was hilarious, but my camera is unable to capture that fast action...this is from several days ago.
The first car I owned was a 1963 Studebaker Lark station wagon with three speed manual shift on the column and solenoid actuated overdrive on 2nd and 3rd gear. That provided five gear ratios. The engine was a 259 cid V-8. It was not particularly quick in acceleration, but it would cruise all day at 80 mph and sip gas at 20 miles per gallon. The rear seat folded absolutely flat and that provided a comfortable platform for a sleeping bag that enabled the overnight excursions and diversions of a college junior.
Another view of our home and the porch I love so much.
Hopefully the very last snow shot until November!
I'm trapped inside for now because of an injury I sustained earlier in the week. I've found myself uninterested in developing more recent pics and decided to once again re-discover a shot from a couple of years ago.
Also I wanted to, hopefully, encourage those of you who may be frustrated about your shots and considering new cameras and gear as being the solution.
Believe me when I tell you, I know exactly how you feel. I have been compelled on a number of occasions to rashly jump into a purchase of new gear that I really could not afford, with the thought...." if only I had this...(whatever)...I know all my shots would turn out like I want." For when I look through the myriad of amazing streams out there, and especially those of whom I greatly admire, I'm convinced in my mind that with every click of the shutter one amazing image after another is produced as effortlessly as breathing. A quick inquire to any of these individuals will attest this is simply not true.
So until more prosperous times prevail, I have been focusing on other elements of this most amazing art form. Studying the things I find so very captivating about the work of others and looking for ways to refine and interpenetrate it under the umbrella of my own discovered style and expression.
The shot above, was taken with a pocket camera by Pentax. And even if I added together the original cost of the camera and the price of my CS4 and Dfx software, I still would be unable to purchase the next camera I have my sights on. Yet, I am happy with the image its self and the feeling I think it emotes.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for upgrading ones gear. But in these economic times, there are ways to see yourself improve if you are willing to take the time to see your skills emerge in a way you never could have imagined.
Be encouraged and never stop exploring.
The car is still badged as a SIMCA CHRYSLER. The same year 1979, the firm changed its name for TALBOT, when CHRYSLER Europe abandoned the European market.
TALBOT finally disappeared in 1987, but PEUGEOT owns the right on the name, and could re-use it for a low cost model, as RENAULT does with DACIA.
In the United States, it was built as PLYMOUTH Horizon and DODGE Omni. Although, there were many differences from the body stamping to the US specs modifications. Even the suspensions and engines were completely different. They looked much more flattering with a certain amount of chrome and sometimes two tone colour schemes.
Production ended in 1990 in the USA.
Still today I hardly believe this car is 43 years old. It still looks really good.

Fab name for a camera and fab colours too!
Made in USA by Keystone in 1986, this was quite a step away from your ugly 110 cameras - it was more of a fashion item much like a Swatch. It used the Kodak Disc

"Lanhydrock, near Bodmin, is a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants quarters, gardens and a wooded estate.
It is the perfect country house and estate, with the feel of a wealthy but unpretentious family home. The kitchens, nurseries and servants' quarters offer a thrilling glimpse into life 'below stairs', while the spacious dining room and bedrooms are truly and deeply elegant.
The house is set in wooded parkland of 1,000 acres and encircled by a garden of rare shrubs and trees."

Practicing music in the church sanctuary on this sunny evening in March 2012 was so peaceful and beautiful. The golden hour sunlight streaming through the stained glass was breathtaking. Combine that with wonderful music in an acoustically pleasing sanctuary and you have an awesome evening of worship and fellowship with friends.

This was taken in the Williams Lake River Valley, in Williams Lake, B.C. In the last few years the City and it's citizens have worked together to create this wonderful network of Trails, while keeping in mind the ecosystem and it's wildlife. It is not uncommon to see deer and the odd bear roam through here. Sun Rays shining through the trees.
the only good thing to get from the pocket camera is you can mess about and get pics like this but i still miss getting pics of the flying ducks etc
“If the mountain seems to big today then
Then climb a hill instead
If the morning brings you sadness
It’s ok to stay in bed
If the day ahead weighs heavy
And your plans feel like a curse
There’s no shame in rearranging
Don’t make yourself feel worse
If a shower stings like needles
And a bath feels like you’ll drown
If you haven’t washed your hair for days
Don’t throw away your crown
A day is not a lifetime
A rest is not defeat
Don’t think of it as failure
Just a quiet, kind retreat
It’s ok to take a moment
From an anxious, fractured mind
The world will not stop turning
While you get realigned
The mountain will still be there
When you want to try again
You can climb it in your own time
Just love yourself til then.”

It was so beautiful outside and I absolutely love these flowers ! I got this idea to take photos with my pocket camera and take it as a challenge !
I had so nice time and absolutely loved the angle and when I really needed to think about how to take these photos and what concept I'm looking for.
I wanted these to look like film photos and I wanted to make that sky pop out !
