texture by: SkeletalMess - thank you!

spent a good hour on a grey damp tuesday along the canal, this one didn't care that i had a camera right in its feathers

I ran out to the woods as the sun was trying to come through the dense fog on Saturday.

I was more pleased by what my tiny pocket camera found!

Charlie located a 'possum in a hole in a tree trunk.

He just sat and looked at it.

The silence was deafening and not a thing was moving except us.

Some days, I wish I could just stay in the forest all day....

Near the Visitor's Center. Next to old 131.

I darkened the sky as it was washed out so it seems almost too saturated.

However I'm leaving it because it makes me smile.

This photo was taken from a campground full of childhood memories. It's one of those cool places that transcends time. It's not only a place of fond early memories for my brother and I, but also for my dad and his siblings. Visiting this summer with him and my Aunt brought back a lot of pleasant memories of my grandparents and time spent camping here.

It also made for a beautiful few photos, as well. As always, the Rocky Mountains provide beauty in abundance.

Frampton Comes Alive! Going to a Day on the Green at Oakland Colliseum was the epitome of 70's spirit. To say the least. I had tickets to also see The Who, but I got a job in the mall, so I couldn't go :)

Yesterday, Beaulieu had it's Fireworks Spectacular event, it is always worth seeing and extremely well attended, getting out of the carpark takes some considerable time.

Exploring the heart of Paris

Antiques, November work photo theme. Each month where I work we have a picture theme. The company provides matted frames for 8x10 prints. The pictures hang on a wall in a well lit hallway past offices to the conference room. We draw a theme out of a hat. We don't "judge." We don't put our names on our prints. Anyone can participate in any theme or not.

1904 Kodak pocket camera! I guess pockets were bigger back then. The camera belonged to my wife's grandfather. The photo was taken with that camera, and the three women in the photo, great aunts, were among the first women in Milwaukee to have Johnson figure skates.

The 3A FPK is known as a postcard format camera, producing 3 ¼" x 5 ½" images on 122 film. Kodak made many variations of the 3A FPK, but this particular example is a Model B.

Features include a leather-covered body made from wood and aluminum, a rotating finder with level, and a Bausch & Lomb lens and shutter.

This is one of my favorite meadows in this region of Colorado. It's one of the first places I remember catching a trout among many other great family memories. It doesn't hurt that it's an absolutely beautiful place, either!

This is no accurate now as this original part of town was pulled down in the early 1960/1970’s to build a duel carriageway through the town to add the growing number of motor vehicles. This alleyway off Fore Street would have continued to All Saints Church and the posh part of town. First time in this alleyway for me but an interesting number of 19th century original houses.

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.

Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice.

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

They somehow already know what you truly want to become.

Everything else is secondary.”

On our way home from fishing one evening, the family stopped in here for a Mexican food buffet dinner. While it was far from my favorite meal, it definitely exceeded my expectations. "Mexican food" and "buffet" were two things that I didn't think should go together, but it wasn't too bad and I didn't get sick, lol. Also, the location was really cool.

Getting out into the middle of nowhere in the mountains is the best. I love being in remote areas, away from civilization. It feels wild and free. Away from worries, stress, and this weird method of life we've trapped ourselves in.
