Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport, is one of the world's principal aviation centres, as well as France's largest airport. Named after President of France, it's the world's eighth busiest airport and Europe's second busiest airport (after London Heathrow) in passengers served. It also is the world's tenth busiest and Europe's busiest airport in aircraft movement.
The Airport has three terminals, and a light-rail shuttle that links the terminals, railway station and parking lots.
I love water and reflections. I was going for a natural frame look with this one and the central tree across the creek. There are three versions posted - one that is color and two that are black and white. I really like the shadows in the foreground of the black and white versions.

So this is the load-up for extracting Burbie. Still deep in the Qatar southern desert with what I was fairly sure was a bad fuel pump. So in the car needed to go everything that would be needed to jack up Burbie, drop the fuel tank, replace the fuel pump and deal with any other possible issues.
To remain decent, I pictured the car with the zoom from far away and without the coffin inside.

The Rollei 35 was the earliest design here, and touched off quite a trend for compact 35s. But 1974's Minox 35 EL (here updated as the 35 GT) pioneered the new direction of self-capping compact designs.

Captured this image of a traveler in the Detroit airport as she sped along the moving walkway. I purposely slowed the shutter speed to capture her motion but panned enough to get her silhouette crisp. I wanted to give a characterization of the person without all of the details. I've processed this both in color and in black and white but really felt the color version have significant color matching that a black and white rendition lacked.

GO COLTS!
1-14-08 Yesterday, the Chargers beat last years Champions and I still drink to the Colts!
It was a blah kind of day, but I still wanted to explore along the creek and see if I could find some late winter photographic treasures, as the sky was creating a nice bluish-green cast on the surface of the water. That made the water really stand out among the shades of brown surrounding it. It was a little breezy, so there weren't any reflections being made on the rippled surface.
Since it was a drab sort of day, I also decided to process some of the photos in black and white, using the various contrast modes that Adobe Photoshop Elements offers.
In this screen capture from a television commercial from 1979, Michael Landon is talking about the virtues of having your pictures developed and printed on actual Kodak paper. It is still good paper to this day. You'll note he has a Kodak Ektralite 10 pocket 110 camera on the bench in front of him.

In 2012, I caught my first glimpse of Pilot Mountain in North Carolina on the way to Myrtle Beach. It had been years since I had gone to the beach and we did not go by Pilot Mountain on the previous route. New roads have been added, which now lead us past Pilot Mountain.
Since this was the first time I had seen the mountain, I took lots of photos, including a stop at the scenic overlook. I still have to take at least one picture when I go by. I've been to Myrtle Beach two more times since 2012 - once in 2014 and once in 2015.
