"Always carry a camera!" -- There are potential photos etched in my memory from times in the past when I didn't have a camera. Most of those times were in the film days. Once digital pocket cameras became affordable, that problem was resolved. Now in the age of smart phones, nearly everyone has a camera at all times.

I wrote all of that to say that I've taken a lot of car window photos since getting that pocket camera and I have no regrets. Digital is so forgiving. If you don't like it, delete it.

This is a series of "out the window" shots taken in the fall of 2013. It was golden hour and late fall. That combination made for some nice shots, even if it was from a moving car.

Anyway..panning along here with the tiny but wonderful Olympus XA1 35mm.

Testing my $35 camera at 14X zoom and cropped. It's a bit noisy. I blurred the sky a bit.

Here's a little Kodak 110 camera that I used to carry around in my glovebox for emergency pictures. Can't say I was ever enamored of the quality of 110 film, though. Michael Landon loved 'em!

My friend and I visited Barefoot Landing briefly during our visit in 2012 because she had one particular store she wanted to patronize before we met some other friends for dinner.

While walking through, I noticed this turtle swimming in a pond. When I paused near the edge to take its picture, it started swimming closer to me. This sequence of shots shows it getting closer and closer. I'm sure it was hoping I had something to feed it, but I didn't have any turtle food.

More photos and a boring story in blog.

Taken with Nikon D80 and Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D. Nikon SB-80dx on camera right with diffuser (fired at 1/64), Nikon SB-24 on camera left (next to the camera) bouncing from the ceiling (fired at 1/2). Triggered with Cactus v4.

In my backyard, this pair have 2 babies in the nest ...at the time this was taken, only 2 eggs. Momma and Papa have taken very good care of the babies, and I will try to get a shot before they leave!

Not a great camera obviously, but not bad for what it is....

Canon Powershot D20 point-n-shoot for random out-n-about (and messy craft table) pix -- drop and water resistant, which comes in handy more often than not.

Taken with a Canon Snappy 20 using Fuji Superia 400 film

Shot at 3200 ISO as a JPEG file and basic processing in Lightroom 4.4. Even after the basic processing the picture's colors look kind of muddy and the details look mushy because of this camera's aggressive built in noise reduction.

This Minolta Autopak 460 Tx could very well be the highest-quality 110 pocket camera ever made. I've already used it, but haven't gotten the film developed yet. It performs smoothly and is hefty feeling when you hold it. It even has a switch you can change to make it into a telephoto view.
