Mother had bemoaned that "I wear a bikini even though no man would want me." I think different. They're not all staring at your daughter . . .
Taken at St Armand's Circle yesterday amongst the beautiful sunshine!

Elle commence à me plaire davantage.
Taken using my Nikon F4 with Ilford HP5 Plus film on a cold rainy day in Vancouver.
Little to no post processing with the exception of shadow adjustments.

These wintertime visitors are always a treat and so the encounters are always special to me. The one that was one his perch stepped down into the shallow water to join the second Roseate Spoonbill that arrived a few minutes later. So, it was now a double your pleasure moment with the Spoonbills while the White Pelican stretched and contorted off in the distance on Horsepen Bayou.

My third attempt at a photo a day challenge. The first two were horrific failures. Maybe starting on January 1st will make a difference for me this time.
Probably not.
We had some trees removed from our property last week. This is all that's left of one that I really didn't want to lose. It was rotting in the middle and it was close to the house... but I really loved it.
I have just uploaded some shots from the Swanage Railway's brilliant Bulleid event on the Sunday earlier this year. This shot is of 35018 'British India Line'. For the rest of the Bulleids see - davebowles.smugmug.com/Recent-events-and-uploads/9th-June...

For Dave C. and other Flickr Friends too, I think the soul of this picture is that even though the leaf is dying, it has brilliant color that belies that. The little pinpoint like things on the leaf's edge are intriguing, and well-focused for a hand-held shot. Also the cute little guys that look like blueberries but aren't, make me smile.
