Le Yaezakura - The Yaezakura
Cette variété a la particularité d'avoir de grandes fleurs avec plus de cinq pétales denses. Elles sont si fournies qu’elles ressemblent à des petits morceaux de coton rose.
This variety has the distinction of having large flowers with more than five dense petals. They are so provided that they look like little pieces of pink cotton.
Le tableau de Philippe est en train de bien avancer. Petit à petit, je l'entraîne à contraster, travailler plus les sombres.

Une splendide exhibition de montgolfières à Polignac en Haute-Loire.
Plus de 50 montgolfières ont décollé au pied de la forteresse pour composer un ballet dans le ciel, qui a duré plus d'une heure compte tenu du vent très modéré de cette journée quasi printanière !

A splendid exhibition of hot air balloons from Polignac in Haute-Loire.
More than 50 hot air balloons took off at the foot of the fortress, to compose a ballet in the sky, which lasted for more than an hour, given the wind was very moderate that day almost spring !

Eine herrliche exhibition ballon zu Polignac in der Haute-Loire.
Mehr als 50 ballons starteten am fuße der festung zu komponieren, ein ballett, in den himmel, die dauerte mehr als eine stunde in anbetracht der wind sehr moderaten tag fast frühlingshaften !

Una espléndida exposición de globos de aire caliente a Polignac en la Haute-Loire.
Más de 50 globos de aire caliente se inició en los pies de la fortaleza, para componer un ballet en el cielo, que duró más de una hora, dado que el viento era muy moderado, ese día casi primaveral !

Een prachtige tentoonstelling van hete lucht ballonnen te Polignac in de Haute-Loire.
Meer dan 50 hete lucht ballonnen vertrok aan de voet van de burcht, voor het samenstellen van een ballet in de lucht, die duurde meer dan een uur, gegeven de wind was erg matig dat de dag bijna lente !

Uma magnífica exposição de balões de ar quente para Polignac, em Haute-Loire.
Mais de 50 balões de ar quente tirou de ao pé da fortaleza, para compor um balé no céu, que durou mais de uma hora, dado que o vento era muito moderado, que dia quase primavera !

Young male Grey Shrike-thrush (Colluricincla harmonica) fixing his fine eye on the viewer.
Named for a superficial resemblance to "old world" families, the GST is neither shrike nor thrush, but a type of whistler. Their joyous and melodic song is a familiar and much-loved sound throughout eastern Australia and Tasmania (and southern New Guinea).

L’île de Skye, un temps magnifique plus bas, on se lance donc à la conquête du fameux Old Man of Storr! L'érosion de la montagne au fils des années a laissé un monolithe naturel assez remarquable (55m de haut). Le plaisir fut de courte durée puisqu'un nuage arriva quelques minutes plus tard et resta accroché à la montagne! Voici donc seulement ce que j'ai pu sortir de cet endroit qui restera malgré tout un très beau souvenir...

Steam and warm water from the hot springs kept the streets free from snow and ice. The village is famous for the nine bathhouses - each one with a special attribute that could cure illnesses or other health issues.

Near the hamlet of Ruderbaum, the remains of a Horgen culture settlement have been discovered. Below the Horgen site, there may be also be Pfyn culture site, but that is less certain.
The modern village of Altnau may be first first mentioned in 787 as Althinouva. In the 8th Century the Abbey of St. Gall owned most of the land in Altnau. In 1155, Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa confirmed that the Cathedral of Constance owned the church and church yard in the village. The vogt right over the church's farms belonged to the Freiherr of Altenklingen after 1300. During the Late Middle Ages, this right was given to several noble families from Constance; 1378 Schwarz, 1430 Tettikofen, 1468 Mangolte, and from 1471 until 1798 the city of Constance directly controlled the farms. In 1454 the villagers were represented in the Appenzell Landrecht, but following complaints from Constance they were forced to give up their membership. The rights of the village are first listed in the Gerichtsoffnung of 1468.
The right to administer the parish of Altnau went from the cathedral's provost to the cathedral's dean in 1347. After the Protestant Reformation in 1528, the few remaining Catholics were looked after by Constance and the village church became a shared church. This situation remained until 1810 when two churches were completed.
Until the 19th Century, most of the local economy revolved around three-field agriculture. About 1880 a dairy company was founded in the village, and livestock and cheese production became common. Viticulture was common from the middle ages until 1912. In 1840 the Seestrasse (Lake Road) was built, and in 1870, the Seetalbahn (railroad line) was added. However, neither the road or the railroad led to a boost in the local economy, as the station was too far away.

On the right hand side of the river, which is East, one can see evidence of the horrendous wildfire called Holiday Farm/McKenzie Fire. Looks like some charring on the left side (West) too, just not as bad in this particular spot. Thousands of acres are still not under complete containment as I write this (morning of October 6, 2020, and the fire started September 9th, (Labor Day).
The *soul* of this for Dave C. and other Flickr friends too, is my daughter and granddaughter lost their home miles west of this spot, and a friend completely lost her home a very short distance (almost shouting distance) east of this river.

Here in this photograph we have this CT Plus Optare M960 Solo registered YJ12GVW with the fleet number of OS24 seen here heading out of Canning Town with a 309 Service bound for Bethnal Green Chester Hospital.
This vehicle was new to CT Plus as OS24 in March 2012.
Situé au centre de l'Atlas tellien et s'étendant sur plus de 5000 km², l'Atlas blidéen recèle une multitude de joyeux naturels et culturels. L'un de ces trésors est sans conteste le Parc National de Chréa (266 km²), créé en 1983, renfermant plusieurs cédraies; rivières; cascades et sources délicieuses.
L'Atlas blidéen (ou Petit Atlas) dont le sommet Koudiet Sidi Abdelkader culmine à 1629 mètres, est limité géographiquement par : la plaine de la Mitidja (au Nord); la plaine des Beni Slimane et le Titteri (au Sud); l'Oued Isser (à l'Est) et l'Oued Djer (à l'Ouest). D'un point de vue administratif, le massif s'étale sur 5 wilayas, à savoir : Blida, Médéa, Bouira, Boumerdes et Aïn Defla.
Par ailleurs, ces montagnes sont peuplées depuis des millénaires par une population berbère zénèto-sanhadjienne regroupée en plusieurs tribus et confédérations (ex : Aït Saleh, Aït Messaoud, Aït Ouzera, Mouzaïa etc...).
Malheureusement, durant le XXème siècle, deux évènements majeurs ont mis à mal le patrimoine linguistique local (tamazight de l'Atlas blidéen) : la Guerre de libération nationale et la Décennie noire. En effet, ces périodes de violence et d'insécurité ont engendré un exode massif qui a eu pour conséquence le recul progressif de cette langue ancestrale.
De nos jours, certains dont le chercheur indépendant Samir El-Arifi, tentent de garder en vie ce patrimoine immatériel algérien.
