Quirigua National Park has a large rectangular plain with the stelae scattered around them, covered by neat little thatched roofs (that are meant to be hurricane-proof, incidentally). On the far side of the plain are stone steps up and then down into an ampitheatre. Here, there are no pyramids. The whole thing is in a small patch of jungle in the middle of a large commercial banana plantation. Guatemala.

My Grandmother (Center in Black and Stripes) celebrating her 90th Birthday with her siblings. This group represents over 700 years! An outstanding representation of 'The Last Great Generation" I got reaquainted with most of them this weekend after 35 years. I was truley honored by their presence!

Nach dem grandiosen Erfolg der größten Studierendenparty des vergangenen Jahres war es nun endlich wieder soweit! Am 22. Mai 2024 fand das Studifest PLUS erneut in den Arkaden der Katholisch-Theologischen Fakultät am Universitätsplatz statt. Die legendäre Party ist eine gemeinsame Initiative der Österreichischen Hochschüler:innen Salzburg sowie der Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg.
