Only need one kiddy's glove to make this pig. I normally buy socks and gloves from H&M to make softies. The main reasons are: (1) they are colourful (2) they are cheap (3) they are good quality (cheap materials can sometimes be very tricky to stitch).

A lot of roses are being damaged by the heavy rain but these looked lovely and fresh.

In our garden. I like the blue so much, I tend to overlook the pink ones.

Pale pink blossoms on a nearby street. This was taken about a week ago. This first round of blossoms is fading now, soon the intense pink ones will arrive!

It seems like I am surrounded by pink right now...lots pink fabric in my sewing room, this bleeding heart, creeping phlox, apple blossoms, cherry blossoms, etc. (Not that I am complaining!)

I'm not sure what kind of flower this is, but I really liked the pink and green petals.

This time of year I'm always clinging to the remainder of summer not wanting winter to arrive. I do love winter when it finally comes, but I find myself reluctant to let go the lushness of the summer with it's colorful flowers and the warmth of the sun.
