I love love love pink Paintbrush and have found it to be difficult to find some summers. Shirley and I came across this while hiking Ptarmigan Cirque last August. No, it's not a photo from this summer. I have not yet had the chance to get out and capture this year's wildflowers. Hopefully this weekend!
No, it's not a plasma ball, it's actually a fountain lit with pink light. No manipulation done, only cropping.

“Feeling at peace, however fragilely, made it easy to slip into the visionary end of the dark-sight. The rose shadows said that they loved the sun, but that they also loved the dark, where their roots grew through the lightless mystery of the earth. The roses said: You do not have to choose. ”

I spent some time out in the yard, weeding, on May 12, 2014. Not my favorite activity, but needed to be done. While I was outside, I noticed this lovely bush in bloom. Does anyone happen to know what it is? A friend has IDed it as Pink Honeysuckle. Thanks, Lyn! Columbia County, New York, USA.

OK, I got my Kenko Extension Tube set for the Nikon.
YES! I am delighted with the set, as I knew I would be from my experience with the tubes for the Sony.
Set the lens on 200mm and blast away!
Most roses will go full screen from 2-3ft away!
