We go out for brunch for Geoff's birthday. I get the ricotta hot cakes with lemon and passionfruit curd again and Mum suffers meal envy. My brother and his girlfriend both serve us at various points of the meal and we discuss Mum and Geoff's honeymoon plans.

Pippin and I went up to Birmingham to go and see David in a fantastic production of The History Boys with the Crescent Theatre there. He was amazing! This was taken when we went for an early dinner a couple of hours before their opening night :-)
Miri and went on one of our Saturday Abingdon excursions for craft shops and charity shops, and also played a bit of Ingress there. This is a bricked-up window I liked near the playhouse.
Miri and I got together to watch the new Agents of Shield thing on telly, and decided to attempt home-made babaganoush for dinner, which involved charring the aubergines directly on the gas hob, which was actually quite fun, and *very* delicious :-)
It's officially winter - the outdoor furniture is being put away. It is a long weekend for Queen's Birthday. Sleep in, proof-read Rob's assignment and go visiting.

I'm not sure what nature of beasts these snow critters were, but they were chilling happily on a bench near the Thames, between the allotments and Botley Road, as I cycled past on my way to work.
Finally find a park in Auckland and stop for lunch at a cafe in Remuera before hitting the road.

Knowing that I wouldn't be going anywhere today because it is lazy Saturday, I was worried that I wouldn't find anything interesting to photograph. I didn't even make it outside when I saw this tiny snail exploring a painting I am working on in the garage.
It's Rob's 32nd birthday today. He arrives back from his trip to see his sister and I give him his gift from my Mum and his gift from the dogs (the trip to the Gold Coast was his present from me). The dogs even write him a card....

Rob takes me (and the dogs) to the library to drop some stuff off for work.

Trying on my costume for Saturday night - I'm going to my friend's circus themed 30th birthday party in Wellington. Make a packing list too.
