The weather today was glorious, we traveled along the Amalfi coast, stopping at Positano along the way to walk around and have some lunch. These lone deck chairs on the beach caught my eye as there were no other ones to be seen anywhere.
I may actually catch up this weekend, only 8 days to go!

Yes, it is Avery's birthday today! So happy to spend the day with her doing all of her favorite things...toysrus, lunch at Logan's (she loves the peanuts), icee's at Target...Chuck-E-Cheese for dinner tonight. Gonna keep this short so I dont get teary-eyed. A Candyland theme party is planned for this Saturday....more fun to come!

So, as I have no willing victims of my own to pose, and want to get to grips with portraits, a good friend kindly let me experiment with hers today.
With thanks to Louise, for some really helpful tips on photographing children, and to my buddy for having such gorgeous bambinos in the first place...
I'm starting to feel the challenge of being consistent with my 365 days project. This photo was taken in a rush, processed in a rush, and frankly I'm just exhausted from work and the lack of sleep. Here's to a beautiful ending despite a very long day.

August 5, 2016 - In all the years we've been coming up to this mountain. In all the years we've skied here, hiked about, picnicked, come up and just wandered about with no agenda, just to get away from the city below.
In all of those years we've never encountered the namesake of the mountain.
We've seen eagles, hawks, bear, deer ....... but never a grouse.
Until today.
