An extract from a story i made inspired by my recent trip to Malawi, using acrylic paint.

Another self indulgent project, the inspiration was taken from a lady shaver and a stick of celery.

This was done in an A4 sketchbook and is a page of my analysis of the photos I didnt choose to put into my final pieces, as seen on another of these portfolio photos.

Done in order for me to evaluate which photos were best to display as series'.

Personal project on theme of Multiple Images in Portraiture.

An image overlay done in-camera on a Nikon D300.

My personal project was family. I'm just fascinated with what my mom and dad do naturally. The edits I made are a few blemishes on her face, and toned down some sliders like the highlights and the blacks. The photos I took of them were really quick but I had fun and took a lot before choosing the one that's the best.

I did basic panel edits, then I changed the tint and temp of the photo to make it not as blue and then I did a brush on everything but the water and sky and put clarity and texture and a little contrast. Then I put a brush on the sky to try to make it less bright.

Something i designed in my spare time to experiment

I applied the water colour paint onto the cartridge paper by using a sponge, a craft knife and a paint brush which had dried PVA glue on it. I wanted to use a paintbrush which was hard so i could create strong brush strokes, as shown on the left painting, to represent the grass in the photographs.
