“Coming to Canada has been a wonderful experience so far. But getting here has not been easy. Having to leave your loved ones behind and moving out of your comfort zone in order to grow is very difficult. For example, yesterday was the Persian New Year and because I am new, I don't know many people here so I was all alone. Not having your fiancé and family to celebrate the occasion with made me feel very lonely. I guess things like that aren't really what others see from the outside; as a student living in Canada, the journey hasn't always been easy or smooth. Without my fiancé, I feel that there is something always missing. However, I am still happy perusing this path to finish my masters in journalism despite the hardships ahead. I know that at the end, it will all be worth it. Hopefully soon my situation will change once my fiance comes to Canada in a few months.” Reza came from Iran to Canada in summer of 2017 as an international student where he is in his last year to getting his masters in journalism at the University of Regina. Some shots that I have taken over the last few weeks for a personal project that I am undertaking. Lots of walking with the dog eventing in finding lots of amazing places that I didn't even know existed and all right on my doorstep.

A4 Biro study of Method Man, designed for independent hip-hop clothing shop 'Mimms' in Hockley, Nottingham.
My personal project was family. I'm just fascinated with what my mom and dad do naturally. The edits I made are a few blemishes on her face, and toned down some sliders like the highlights and the blacks. The photos I took of them were really quick but I had fun and took a lot before choosing the one that's the best.
