The Meditation series is an ongoing personal project of mine. It was born six years ago during my morning walks on the shore of Lake Ontario near to where I live. This easy access allows me to study the Lake at close range during all the seasons and various weather conditions we have here. It also allows me to become thoroughly absorbed and influence by this beautiful, living force at my doorstep

An example of Pittsburgh collaboration: Many Pittsburgh corporations and community organizations joined together to beautify Pittsburgh’s parks, including Schenley Plaza in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.

This is a piece i did for my personal project that i did on x-rays. This piece was created from an ink drawing which i then edited and played with on photoshop.

This is an image from my last exhibition which I wrote up a personal project brief for called 'escapism'. As art therapy is something that particularly enthrals me I chose the key word escapism as a starting point to link my own personal diversions from reality as well as other peoples into my art work. By researching artists who have inspired my journey as well as collecting primary data from the public I have aimed to create a body of work that people could relate to. It is important to me for the audience to truly evaluate my work from the thoughts it provokes and whether it communicates the element of escaping normality through dreaming, stories and childhood memories. The exhibition was to be presented in the collage style which my sketchbooks possess but at a larger implicated scale as the process of me engaging into this project itself was an escape from the worries of life at home and at work; this is reflected in the diary I updated for the duration of my project. I feel that the visual pleasure and whimsical ideas provoked from the collaboration of nostalgic images, transparent materials and artefacts from nature reflect my own personal diversion of reality through imagination and recreation throughout the project & I have intended for the viewer of my exhibition space to experience this feeling of immersive wonder from my work and to mentally escape the room for five minutes whilst doing so.
