Print concepts inspired by the colour and lines within my chosen map (right). Also sketchbook page of a pink paint study (the main colour of the map) in order to explore a variation of tones and shades which later informed my chosen colour palette.

These four concepts are an independent extension of a cartography project which were translated into prints. I was pleased with the visual outcomes, which is highly striking due to the clear colour scheme (neutrals with a pop of pink) and juxtaposition of the different collaged medium. However the main difficulty I found when making these is to design them so that they're infinite/repeatable, a technique of which I would like to refine and improve to a higher level.

Personal project research

I always had an interest in architecture particularly modern buildings and urban spaces. I have keenly followed the work of Norman Foster, Richard Rogers, Lucien Herve and Le Corbusier and find it fascinating how architecture can form the basis of not only how we live and work but also how it can define the physical attributes and aesthetics of the space in which it inhabits. I am drawn to architecture that give equal weight to form and functionality. Through my job as a property photographer, I have gained valuable experience in documenting interior and exterior elements of architecture. With these sets of images, I tried to photograph the architecture as a series of lines, curves and planes of shapes; focusing on the elements that define what the building is.

This was a personal project based on Conflict Diamonds. The purpose of the booklet was to make people aware of the slavery in a number of african countries. These slaves are forced to work under life threatening conditions.

For this project, I designed each page with the 'Anne Frank Diary' in mind.

Personal project

In this post you can see the final outcome of my A level Personal Project, 'Hybrids'. I combined the different styles of artists to create my 'Hybrids', Charlotte Caron, Sebastian Magnani and Francesco Sambo, whilst including my own style.

I created three A1 pieces using three images that I had Photoshopped together of myself, and two friends, a chicken, dog and an alpaca. I used water colour pencils for the animal faces and details of the animal heads, water colours for the clothing and human body, with a finishing acrylic painted background.
