Periphery
Rock On The Range day 3! I went to the Jägermeister stage to catch a little bit of Periphery before going back to the Monster stage for Volbeat. I may have had a shot of Jägermeister.
After Volbeat we stopped at Taco Bell to get a couple Baja Blasts for Shay to help with his tonsillectomy recovery. After we dropped them off at Mother Mary's we went to Pizza House for dinner.
Today was the 7th year anniversary of Julie and my first date! We have been dating 84 months!

Heading north to Metéora monasteries through Thessaly periphery - and going by a reminder of war past of Greece...
I happened to get the most and the best photos of Periphery out of all other bands I shot that day, these photos deserve their own album. Sadly, their bassist, Nolly, did not make it to this show, he was still trapped in the UK. Periphery on the Summer Slaughter tour play at the house of blues in Hollywood on July 20th.

White-browed Bulbul
The white-browed bulbul (Pycnonotus luteolus) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is a resident breeder in Sri Lanka and peninsular India. Largely olive coloured above with whitish underparts, it has a pale supercilium and a yellow vent. They are found in dense scrub habitats, where they skulk within vegetation and can be difficult to see although their loud and distinct burst of calls is distinctive.
The white-browed bulbul is about 20 cm (7.9 in) long, with a moderately long (8 centimetres or 3 inches) tail. It has olive-grey upperparts and whitish underparts. This species is identifiable by the white supercilium, white crescent below the eye, and dark eyestripe and moustachial stripe. The vent is yellowish and there is some yellow on the chin and moustache. The throat is however largely whitish unlike in the similar looking and sounding yellow-throated bulbul which is found in rockier habitats. Three or four hair-like filoplumes are present on the nape. Sexes are similar in plumage. It is usually detected by the burst of song that it produces from the top of a bush and often dives into the bush becoming difficult to see. The song is a rich, spluttering warble and the bird is more often heard than seen. P. l. insulae is slightly darker and has a shorter wing than the nominate race.
This species is endemic to southern India and Sri Lanka. The northern boundary is along Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and western West Bengal (near Midnapur). It is found in dry open scrub country mainly on the plains and also occurs in gardens and woodlands with dense shrubbery.
White-browed bulbuls are usually seen singly or in pairs. They forage within bushes for fruit, nectar and insects. The breeding season is spread out from March to September and may possibly breed twice a year. Peaks in breeding occur in February and again in September. The dry season of May to July appears to be avoided for breeding in the Point Calimere region. They build a nest, a loose cup made of twigs, cobwebs and hair placed low in a thick bush and usually on the periphery. Two eggs form the typical clutch. Individuals may live for more than 11 years.
Canons Ashby House & Gardens is the ancestral home of the Dryden family, built from the remains of the medieval priory following its dissolution by Henry VIII.
The house is unchanged since the early 18th century however, the contents of the house have been collected over the last 400 years by the Dryden family.
Tudor, Jacobean, Victorian & Baroque elements have been blended to form a rich backdrop of panelling, furniture, tapestries, paintings, plasterwork, antiques & armoury.
During the 20th century the estate declined into disrepair with the gardens particularly falling into neglect.
The National Trust acquired the property in 1981 & lovingly restored the house & formal gardens.
This is the Green Court which served as the main entrance to the house with a gravel drive, until 1840 when Sir Henry Dryden turfed it over.
These are some of the ornamental gates around the periphery of the property & this gate was one of the main entrances to the house.

On Saturday 7 October 2017, UCL Urban Laboratory and Folkestone Triennial 2017 held the second event in the EDGE symposium series, exploring the concept of situated practice in contemporary art, architecture and urbanism. The events bring together practitioners and thinkers at three ‘edge’ locations connected by the High Speed 1 railway, which acts a geographical link and embodies ideas associated with community, connectivity and escapism.
In framing these events, we have considered 'edge' as: 'Where an area that is known or privileged meets another that is unknown or ignored; a point of balance between contrary or diverse phenomena; a place of connectivity and interaction.'
'Periphery' was a day of enquiry to consider the environs of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Investment for the 2012 Games brought rapid development to the previously neglected Stratford area. Here East, within the former press and broadcasting centre of the Games, is envisaged as a cluster of innovators and digital makers, whilst the Stratford Waterside development will bring new institutions including the V&A, Sadler's Wells, London College of Fashion, and UCL.

Via Sacra da Rocinha, um espetáculo itinerante que mistura religião e realidade. Desde 1992 o auto atrai uma multidão anualmente na Semana Santa, numa caminhada de 2,5 km, na qual 43 atores se misturam com o público. Durante três horas da Sexta-feira da Paixão, a Rocinha vai parar completamente para acompanhar o trajeto da Via Sacra pela comunidade, saindo do Largo do Boiadeiro e seguindo até a Paróquia Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem. Ao todo, serão 22 cenas que cobrem do batismo de Jesus até a sua ressurreição.
