If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space.
~ Stephen Hunt
This is a handmade glass plate - just the corner edge of it.
Taken in a lightbox with clear glass underneath to reflect the green.
Shot with Jena Pancolar and 32mm Kenko extension tube.
Medicago arabica is annual which prefers the quite exposed grounds, rich in organic matter (alluvial meadows) and nitrogenizes some (edges of road and cultivated grounds). Year after year, its colonies seem to extend in a “circular” way, flowering as of May, resowing its thorny and spiral pods liberally, and decaying (curiously) of the center towards the periphery, a little before the summer.

Port Jackson, consisting of the waters of Sydney Harbour, Middle Harbour, North Harbour and the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers, is the natural harbour of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The harbour is an inlet of the Tasman Sea (part of the South Pacific Ocean). It is the location of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The location of the first European settlement and colony on the Australian mainland, Port Jackson has continued to play a key role in the history and development of Sydney. Port Jackson, in the early days of the colony, was also used as a shorthand for Sydney and its environs. Many recreational events are based on or around the harbour itself particularly the Sydney New Year's Eve celebrations and the starting point of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The waterways of Port Jackson are managed by the Roads and Maritime Services. Sydney Harbour National Park protects a number of islands and foreshore areas, swimming spots, bushwalking tracks and picnic areas.

Sydney is made up of 658 suburbs, spread across 33 local government areas. Informally there are at least 15 regions. Residents of the city are known as Sydneysiders. As of June 2020, Sydney's estimated metropolitan population was 5,367,206, meaning the city is home to approximately 66% of the state's population. 60731
Ett nytt tema för mig och definitivt en utmaning att se saker från olika perspektiv. Mitt bidrag till temat "i periferin".
A new theme for me and also a challenge. To see things from another perspective. My contribution for the theme "periphery".
Typical village landscape in Hanoi. Presently threathened by large urban developments at the periphery of the city. The city has been built on large water areas that are progressively reduced to residual water ponds as the one that appears on this picture.
Last week I have been to Tuscany with www.flickr.com/photos/henk-meijer. We had a rainy, windy and cold week. Not the weather you would expect when going to Tuscany. But it was a great week with lots of fun and some beautiful moments.

A photo taken from the Enoshima Benten bridge on my way back to a railway station after exploring Enoshima.
Hakone, which looks like a low mountain range in the centre, is a huge caldera volcano with many spa resorts. Being located on the western periphery of the Kantou region (関東地方), there was a historical check post in Hakone. Kantou means "East of the (Hakone) check post." The region's population totals 45 million or 35% of the population of Japan.
Mniotilta varia from Nacogdoches County, Texas.
I often mention that East Texas is at the southwestern periphery of the distribution of several plant species typical of eastern forests. The same holds true for numerous animal species, including warblers, of which 13 species can be found breeding in the Pineywoods. Some Black-and-white Warblers spend the summer here, though they are less common than many of our breeding warblers and occur here in lower densities than in the core of their range.
We were lucky to catch this guy out defending his territory on a local birding excursion when my mom came up to visit a couple of weeks ago.
What is the difference between the transparency of space and the presence of place?
Inspired by Harry Gruyaert. photo; Ouarzazate.
For months I have been studying and shooting the transparency of space like Stephen Shore. Then I was introduced to this cat Gruyaret and his compelling embracing of empty place.
This is supposed to get easier not harder !!!!
The relationship between the runner and that car are vital to the structure of the center stage. While the people and poles at the periphery are important in creating the gateway to the back of the picture.
