If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much space.

This is a handmade glass plate - just the corner edge of it.
Taken in a lightbox with clear glass underneath to reflect the green.

One of several unofficial named peaks that make up the Indian Peaks, Hopi Peak (12777 ft / 3894 m) rises above Coyote Park on the western side of the Continental Divide. I stopped here for lunch on the first day of my backpacking trip, and was pleased to see, as if on cue, a coyote stroll by on the periphery of the park. These relatively old spruce trees have been spared the ravages of spruce beetles unlike many other old-growth stands in Colorado (e.g. www.flickr.com/photos/wdbowman/51593480726).

Typical village landscape in Hanoi. Presently threathened by large urban developments at the periphery of the city. The city has been built on large water areas that are progressively reduced to residual water ponds as the one that appears on this picture.
