There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.

Inspired by the theme #Wabi-Sabi for Macro Mondays even if this is an old photo.(Wabi-Sabi: The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".)
As more and more of the campus gives way to much needed car parks there's still the odd pocket of colour to brighten the day in Covid times. The flower is past its best but was drawn by the touch of gold at the end of the stamens.

I didn't set this up - just found it that way. I took this photo, and moved on. I wonder how long these rocks remained stacked?

For man, as for flower and beast and bird, the supreme triumph is to be most vividly, most perfectly alive.

Perfectly pointed buds of scarlet and gold, opening to flowers of yellow edged with red.
Have a wonderful day
Had a little love but I spread it thin
Falling in her arms and out again
Made a bad name for my game 'round town
Tore out my heart and shut it down
Nothing to do, nowhere to be
A simple little a kind of free
Nothing to do, no one but me
And that's all I need
I'm perfectly lonely
I'm perfectly lonely
I'm perfectly lonely, yeah
Cause I don't belong to anyone
Nobody belongs to me

You’re my water
You’re my comfort and my saving grace
You’re the colors that I try to paint
You’re the sugar that my body craves
You’re my healer
You’re the reason I don’t go insane
I realize more everyday
I really need you and that’s okay
So we ride yeah we ride yeah we ride
Into the light, syncing up ‘til we die...

“One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn't exist.....Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist”
― Stephen Hawking
A perfectly still night in Melbourne. Not a breath of wind. Even without the long exposure, the water on the Yarra River was like a sheet of glass - perfect for some night-time reflection photography.
This photo is of Webb Bridge in Docklands, Melbourne.
Nothing to do
Nowhere to be
A simple little kind of free
Nothing to do
No one to be
Is it really hard to see?
I'm perfectly lonely
I'm perfectly lonely
I'm perfectly lonely
Yeah
Cause I don't belong to anyone
And nobody belongs to me
And this is not to say
There never comes a day
I'll take my chances and start again
And when I look behind
On all my younger times
I have to thank the wrongs
That led me to a love so strong

Living in the same neighborhood for over 30 years gives you a chance to really know your neighbors. Other people came and went through the years, but our elderly neighbor, Odea, was always there. No matter the weather, she would be outside tending to her garden plants. For many years I admired her lovely peonies (which I initially called Roses on Steroids). As she is no longer with us, I celebrate her impact on our lives with memories....and my own peonies.
