It's evening and the sun is setting in the Mediterranean, coloring the beautiful sky yellow, what a stunning sight! Meanwhile I'm outside in the wonderful hotel gardens, enjoying a nice sea breeze, with lots of green around me including a beautiful palm tree. Best of all though is that I feel completely free to be girly self, reveling in a pretty dress, enjoying to be chic and elegant, loving to be feminine. It's all perfect; life doesn't get better than this!
Soon the sun will set so that's it for this week. Be well and I hope to see you again next week.
I stood there beside myself
Thinking hard about the weather
Then came by a friend of mine
Suggested we go out together
Then I knew it from the start
This friend of mine would fall apart
Pretending not to see his guilt
I said "let's go out and have some fun"
I know, you know, we believe in a land of love
I have always thought about
Staying here and going out
Tonight I should have stayed at home
Playing with my pleasure zone
He has always been so strange
I often thought he was deranged
Pretending not to see his gun
I said "let's go out and have some fun"
I know, you know, we believe in a land of love
When you are alone at night
You search yourself for all the things
That you believe are right
If you give it all away
You throw away your only chance to be here today
Then a fight breaks out on your street
You lose another broken heart in a land of meet
My friend took his final breath
Now I know the perfect kiss is the kiss of death
I remember taking this image more than a year ago. Happened to notice this tiny Ladybug on a flower in my kitchen around 1:00 a.m. in the morning, just as I was off to bed. Of course, I just had to grab my camera - and a flashlight because one of my kitchen lightbulbs needed replacing and it's a very awkward one to change.
There are approximately 35 species of Ladybug in Alberta.
"This most familiar Lady Beetle is found throughout Alberta in fields and gardens. As winter approaches, the Two-spotted Lady Beetle might move into your house to seek a dry safe place to hibernate for winter .....The Two-spotted Lady Beetle overwinters as an adult under piles of leaf litter or in some other protected space. Sometimes they congregate in large numbers to sleep away winter." From talkaboutwildlife.org.
"Be a good girl, you have to try a little harder. That simply was not good enough to make us proud."

A construction worker on the West Approach Bridge North project measures to make sure that the pile is installed just right.
Construction crews were busy along the SR 520 corridor during the Nov. 14 - 17 weekend closure. Critical work activities included demolition of the R.H. Thomson “Ramps to Nowhere” over SR 520, necessary tree removal within project limits in the Montlake area and installation of piles on Foster Island and near the Montlake shoreline for the SR 520 West Approach Bridge North Project. Crews working on the Eastside Transit and HOV Project installed drainage systems along the 108th Avenue East direct-access ramps. Find out more about the new SR 520 on our website.
The SR 520 West Approach Bridge North Project is the next construction phase of the SR 520 Program. When complete in summer 2017, WABN will be built to modern earthquake standards and connect westbound-traveling vehicles, transit/HOV, bicycles and pedestrians from the new floating bridge to the Montlake area.

This Harbor Seal at Pigeon Point seems to be quite content and in perfect balance with life on a lovely winter day!
Was asked to take a action product shoot, spent little to no time on post process, got the effect by attaching string (black thread) under the puzzle pieces, pulling on the stirngs and using flash to freeze the puzzle pieces when pulled out but also leaving the shutter open after the flash to catch the trail.
It's not a perfect repair, by any means. Her head is still pretty wobbly (compared to normal frogs), but it WORKS. I may need to cram more stuffing in, but . . . I am so happy she looks and feels better!
Actually . . . her head now sits at a much more regular angle than it did before. I don't advocate breaking your poor Wandas if they have a wonky head angle though!
And for those of you with wonky head angle Wandas . . . DON'T keep trying to push their head back into the normal position. Just DON'T. That's what broke poor Velvet! Just enjoy their rakish charm and unique personality as they are :)
