Frogmore Gamla Stan is a memory of life as a child (owner of sim) in Öregrund, Sweden. The air is filled with the scent of the sea, old fishing boats, and smoked herring. A simple life filled with love and laughter.
This sim brought back my own childhood memories of summer vacations with my parents and siblings. I miss those precious days of carefree fun.
Autumn and low evening sun can create moments of magic, as here on Seterhaugen above Nordviksetra last night.
For me, such pictures are about recreating some of the feeling I had when the picture was taken and transmitting that feeling to those who see the pictures.
These two photos, "Perfect view 1 & 2", were taken from the same place, but with two different lenses. The one with a wide angle to capture as much of the landscape as possible. The other with a telephoto lens to go closer with a more defined section.
The pictures are totally different, and here is something that gives me inspiration to work with photography, that you can always "paint" and compose your own pictures in a creative interaction with the surroundings.

First and foremost is keep tension on your beaks; keep them spread apart so the fish can't 'wiggle' off your beaks.

I spent about 3 hours standing in the rain yesterday waiting for the thunderstorms to pass over. The first one came and went without any joy but as the second came though I heard a few rumbles then the rain came in pouring down over Loch Lomond. I would like to say this is one image but sadly trying to catch lightning during the day from previous experience is tricky so instead I filmed it on high res video until I had a strike. Then took some stills and blended the lightning into the shot from the video so I had a higher quality image.

Tonight's sunset over Mt Wellington. Taken from Sandy Bay foreshore with two of my son's who were happily photographing everything around them and my wife and two other children were playing happily in the park just a few hundred metres away. Earlier today I went swimming with my eldest boy and coached him in a sport that I used to play at a high level. It was just one of those perfect days.
No sign of the chicks on this evening , but I suspect they weren't far away.
