Yesterday was a near on perfect day in Edinburgh, and the sunset last night was the perfect end.
This is a shot I've done multiple times before but I've never been that happy with the results. The last sunset I done here was slightly "enhanced" by the use of a sunset filter, nice as it was it always felt a touch false.
This version was shot with the Heliopan ND3.0 10 stopper and a Hitech 0.9GND. Not a lot of PP was done and the colours are more or less as captured by the camera. Much happier with this version. Notice too the duck with 2 eggs nesting on the pier on the right of the shot, it never moved so never blurred!
He was just standing there texting someone but he totally blend in with the background. And when he was scrolling through his phone his facial expression changed from happy, to sad, to even angry (in this one he was more like worried). But I loved that I caught that moment.
