A Golden-crowned Sparrow was playing Peek-a-boo with me. It did this several times, glancing over to see what I was doing.

Such a shy little gang!!! I love their little eyes peeking at Sam to see if they need to run..... such innocent animals not bothering anyone...just out for some lunch! Hey maybe they are gonna meet up with the Griz and her youngsters and have lunch...or be lunch???? LOL...yikes!!! I love the little one peaking from behind the tree in the back/right of this photo! LOL

Good morning everyone and Happy Dragonfly Thursday. This will probably is my last head-on dragonfly shot of the 2014 season. And appropriately it's of a female Autumn Meadowhawk (Sympetrum vicinum). The last species to be found here locally on wing. In general, dragonflies & damsels are long gone now. The earliest we can expect to see them again will be next April or May.
