Taken with iPhone 5, processed with Alien Skin Exposure X. I'm not sure why the quality turned out so poor after uploading. It was not pixelated when it was open with software. I apologize.

This was a cheeky Fox cub that came in to my garden as I was having my tea! I grabbed the camera and took this through the window before he trotted off as calm as you like!

Southeast Asian culture is strongly connected to the sea. Boats are oftentimes unique windows on the traditional values of the people. Designs are always patterned to cultural styles and demands. For the the Mekong Delta boats, an unusual feature is a pair of lurking eyes painted on the bow. Whether from the side or straight upfront, the eyes look at you, staring, and perhaps to the passengers, guiding.

A Taiwan Barbet peeking out of its nest at DaAn Forest Park in Taipei, Taiwan.

The Taiwan barbet (Psilopogon nuchalis), also known as the embroidered barbet, is a species of bird endemic to the country of Taiwan.

It is about 20 cm (7.9 in) long. The plumage is mostly green. The lore has a red spot. The ear-coverts and lower malar are blue. The throat is mustard yellow. The forehead is yellow. There is a black stripe above the eye. The beak is black and thick. The breast has a blue band and a red band. The belly is yellowish-green. The feet are greyish. The sexes are alike.

In Taiwan, the bird is known as the "five-colored bird" (Chinese: 五色鳥; pinyin: Wǔsèniǎo), referring to the five colors on its plumage. Because of its colorful plumage and that its call resembles that of a percussion instrument known as a wooden fish, the species is also referred to as the "colorful monk" (Chinese: 花和尚; pinyin: Huā Héshàng; Taiwanese Hokkien: hue-á huê-siūnn) by Taiwanese

That one face among a group of people seems to draw me in. Taken a couple of years ago during a hike. I don't know what tags to include. If you think of any, add them.

Sam and I took a walk to check out the recently discovered local grow-op and found this guy and his friend (not pictured) to be far more interesting.

Another photo of the baby squirrel, peeking at me from behind the tree.

Part 2 of Briana's maternity's photo shoot this past weekend with family included. Here's her son Nolen 18 mos old peeking at her belly looking for baby brother. Super cute. I love how he's trying to stand on his teepee-toes to peek.

A peek at one of the pages from my E-Workshop: Between the Lines.

One of the main tourist attractions in the town of Todos Santos is the Hotel California made famous by the Eagles. This is an actual running hotel with 13 rooms that you can actually stay at. The decor is definitely like something out of the 70's and as you walk around the place you can almost hear the famous song playing in your head.

Was walking around my neighborhood yesterday evening, stopped to take a shot of these windows when I noticed a face watching my every move. I couldn't resist the opportunity.

One from the past!

I love this one! I had a green bowl floating inside a wooden bowl, and managed to catch a drop "jumping" over the edge of the green bowl. ~

Flammulated owl female, peeking out of her nest. Recently I was lucky enough to accompany a group of researchers working with these endearing creatures, which nest in former woodpecker holes. Flammulated owls are small -- adults weigh barely two ounces -- and unlike most owls, do not hunt warm-blooded prey, but are insect-eaters. This also means that the northern populations are migratory, since there aren't many bugs to hunt when the snow is falling!
