Blythe Physical Challenge #34 - Peek-a-boo sweetie!

Edna playing peek-a-boo on the plane flying back from Malta to England. I think she is up to something.

Look at what arrived this weekend! An advanced copy of my book :-) I've been smiling non stop since it arrived. Here's a little peek inside. It will be available October 2nd and I can't wait for you to see it! It was a labor of love and the team at Lark did an extraordinary job!

Taranaki Mount Egmont from New Plymouth. From the book Our Mountains. www.ourmountainsbook.wordpress.com

Walking through the hilltop meadow I see a buck just looking like he really did not want to get up.

it was a bright and sunny day. i think quite rare in singapore. for the 4 days i was there this was the one day with blue blue sky and a blaring sun. this is a view of the entry way to the open courtyard at the raffles hotel. this ones from my photo walk with ryan&remus.

manually blended in photoshop from 3 exposures on different camera settings. first i had to try and eliminate the outstanding glare of the sun. then i had to try and bring out the architectural details on the right(hard one since there was all that sun). finally using several layers to enhance the beautiful tiled flooring.

hope you likes!

I only had the nifty-fifty with me at the time, hence you might have to actually look to see him.

From the lower deck of the Outer Drive Bridge, Lake Shore Drive, Chicago

I am always fascinated by the view of the city from the other side of the Bridge. This time I took my time with my camera. The rough and bare steel structure combined with the dark under bridge creates an irresistible sexy appeal for me the "photographer." The vague outline of the buildings in the distance serves as a reminder that civilization is within shouting distance of this old yet still viable structure. The Trump Tower looks tolerable from this view :)

The Outer Drive Bridge, or Link Bridge, was built in the 1930's and was the largest bascule bridge in the world. The entire bridge splits open to allow tall ships to pass through in Chicago River. I wonder if what we see in this image contains parts of the apparatus for raising the bridge.

And, Happy Fence Friday!

This fence transforms in the autumn , with the red leaves peeking through .

I love this little twig of colorful autumn leaves peeking from behind this huge oak tree. This is in the entrance to the Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden.

Not my best shot ever, but the peeking around the corner aspect makes me smile.

Another lilac shot. I liked the way it was sort of peeking over the edge of the leaf.

Polar Bear on the Tundra at Churchill, Manitoba

Taken yesterday. Love the look to this, haven't done anything to this shot, but I like the way it's sort of got a 3D look?

Haven't done the exterior yet. I'm thinking of a very minimal white brick or tile in a grid pattern.

Gotta learn how to get lint and streaks off of plexiglass without scratching it. the windows are dust-magnets.

We discovered a woodland walk during our week away and while Cash waited around for me to help him over the stiles, I took full advantage and managed to get this shot ;) Love him peeking over the fence and looking wet and scruffy.

m10-R and CV 75mm 1.4 at our favorite testing spot :)

Just picked up a Summarit 75mm and was shooting it vs. the Voigtlander 75. The Summarit is a beautiful lens, but it only opens up to f/2.4. This Voigt is a beast though and at f/1.4 it's hard to beat.
