This farm cat peeked at me from behind the fence post on the farm while I was taking pictures of some cattle. He has beautiful blue eyes which stand out when the rest of the picture is black and white!

Let's just start off by saying WOW! My mind is blown. My photo from yesterday has reached number 5 on the explore list. None of my photos have ever peaked so high on explore so that's really blowing my mind away! So thanks to everyone who has viewed, commented and favourited the photo! Thank you, thank you!
When I came home from work today there were four squirrel's running amok in the backyard. I brought my stuff into the house and thought they'd be gone by the time I grabbed the camera and changed my lens, but nope they were still there going nuts so I snapped a few shots and ended up with this photo.
I think it's really cute how he's taken a break from running circles around the tree to watch me and my camera and so I couldn't resist using this as my photo of the day.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

This was shot last November in Utah. This is either Peek a Boo Canyon or Spooky Canyon. If anyone that knows the difference please let me know. As you can see this is a very narrow canyon. It was one of those where you go sideways and pass your camera backpack through to make your way down the canyon. At the end it opens up considerably to where you literally slide out and drop 4-5 feet. Very cool.

SIGMA MACRO WEEK : DAY TWO
A number of my Flickr friends have been writing to me about the performance of my new Sigma 150mm F2.8 APO Macro DG HSM Len.s Rather than write about it, I thought I would let my work with it answer their questions. So I dedicate this week to macro photographs, using this lens. Enjoy and feel free to leave your comments and criitque.

On one of the visits to the Botanical garden I found this beautiful bunch of flowers that attracted my attention. So I decided to capture it through the new Sigma lens.
I set my aperture to F4, so that I would get a smooth background, as well as a control over the DOF, in a manner that would keep the entire shaft of flowers in focus.
As I started to focus on my subject, I suddenly noticed a movement through my view finder. Something green was moving towards the base of the flower. I immediately moved a step back to locate the source of this distraction.
"Peek a Boo"... There was this beautiful grasshopper that had just landed on the flower stem. Not knowing how long he would stay, I quickly got him into the frame and fired away.
Photographed with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and Sigma 150mm F2.8 APO Macro DG HSM with Sigma DG UV Filter. Handheld.
