Making a spirited departure from RAF Fairford, Italian Air Force 46ª Brigata Aerea dell'Aeronautica Militare's Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules MM62178/46-43 keeps it low for the P&V West photographers

Two things to note:

The crewman peeking out of the rear side door window

and

Just in front of the tailplane - her type and serial presentation - the C-130J and MM are in black but the '62178' is almost illegible in grey

Golden-crowned Sparrow peeking through Salvia leucantha.

I waited quite awhile for him to poke his head out but I finally caught him. He was a fun guy to watch during that weekend.

I'm not sure I like how the processing on this one turned out, but it's a companion shot of sorts to the previous post.

Enjoy you Sunday, and thanks for looking!

When I spotted this Muscovy Duck at the edge of the lake it was wide awake and mingling with some other ducks that were there.

But as we approached it seem to go into this napping posture as if it wanted nothing to do with us, peeking over its shoulder as we passed by, pausing only briefly to grab a few shots of it and the lake, and then kept going.

A few days ago I noticed a beautiful squirrel playing on the top of our fence, Armed with my 400mm lens, I got close as I could not to scare it away. As I was capturing the moment, the Squirrel was playing "Peek a Boo" with me, thanks you my friend for your wonderful pose.

Mount Rainier played peek-a-boo with me for almost an hour as clouds swept over the peak. The mountain was completely hidden from the Reflection Lakes area and the water surface was choppy due to the wind. It was a nice day for a drive though, as most of the smoke from the fires had cleared.

Looking into the Mocenigo Bastion, on Spinalonga Island on Crete, through a ruined wall.

Sunrise on Saturday morning, and some lovely conditions again on Leash Fen. Really is a great place to shoot trees in the mist when the sunrise is a nice as this!

While taking a tree shot, I spied the flag that we keep displayed in the front yard. Funny how you don't see something that is there all of the time....

Sunrise peeks into the White Mountains along the Kanc', October 13, 2023. Rivers, meadows, mountains, and a peek of the morning sun. Welcome to the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I spotted this tiny insect behind a grass stem, I looked through the macro lens and this little leaf hopper was playing peekaboo, I think he was a little camera shy
