For this photography project, we had to choose a partner and take pictures of them in certain places that described their personality. I chose Marin as my partner for this project and it was really fun getting to know her and take pictures of what she likes to do.

In one image, you can see Marin at a shoes store holding or wearing a pair of grey high heel shoes. Marin adores shoes and she has many pair of shoes herself. She has a very unique style and like a wide range of different shoes from running shoes to dressy high heels. This shows how Marin has a very creative style and that she enjoys fashion and her fun feminine side.

In another image, Marin is playing the piano at her house. Playing the piano is just another thing Marin is passionate about and loves to do. She likes music as a whole topic and enjoys playing on her free time. She take piano lessons and enjoys learning new songs to play on the piano. This shows Marin;s musical side and her passion for music.

In one picture, you can see Marin doing her own nails and giving herself a little manicure. Marin is very interested in nail polish and has many different colors and varieties. She does her own nails and also critiques little designs on them. She loves doing her own nails and enjoys buying different colored nail polishes.

In another picture, Marin is with her younger sister. Marin enjoys playing with her younger sister which shows that Marin is a very caring person who loves her sister and she has a fun time playing with her sister and her fun personality.

In one picture, Marin is sitting alone a wooden log with her camera. Marin enjoys photography and loves taking pictures of different subjects which is one of the reasons she took this class, she wanted to learn more about the art of photography. She enjoys exploring different areas and visions different sights to get a better and clearer perspective of things. Marin enjoys photography and likes to takes pictures.

I adjusted these photos by changing the brightness and contrast, adjusting the curves and levels to show the different high lights and shadows, and the vibrancy to enhance the color.

This past Tuesday, July 30 over 50 people shared a Ramadan iftar at CAIR-LA's Anaheim office.

The night included an international menu that was seemingly endless – spaghetti and meat sauce, samosas, Libyan soup, hummus, batengan (eggplant dish), , noodle and rice dishes, pastas, and a wide array of delectable desserts were all served. It was all delicious, and it all went fast.

What was reflected on Wednesday, however, was the diversity in not just the dishes that were served but, in particular, in the guests that attended the event. Attendees represented individuals from various backgrounds and walks of life; many originating from the Middle East, East and South Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and South America. Individuals from many faiths were represented including Catholics, Lutherans, Jews, Buddhists, Methodists, among others. There were also community leaders and many young people who attended.

My travel partner and tourist guide for the morning - my Dad. As a retired railway man he was keen to see just what they had done at Victoria Station.

The next group of images I will be posting will be of a morning trip I may made with my Dad to my home city of Manchester. While I have not lived in Manchester for some 25 years I still love it and its people.

I now live in central southern England and always joke with my Dad that it is 'grim up north' - but as you can see the sun does actually shine in Manchester.
