The annual GWP Consulting Partners Meeting was held in Stockholm on 1 September 2013.
The theme of this year's meeting was "GWP as a Catalyst for Change: Delivering the 2009-2013 Strategy and future perspectives".
The main purpose of the Consulting Partners meeting is to monitor the strategic direction of the Network, as set out in the GWP 2009-2013 Strategy, as well as to receive and comment on the annual activity and financial reports of the Steering Committee.

The PARTNERS Spring Luncheon benefiting the Jane and Robert Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston was held Tuesday, April 25, at the River Oaks Country Club. This year's luncheon was co-chaired by Susie Distefano, MSN, RN, and Trish Greaser and raised over $214,000 in support of scholarships, research, and Cizik School of Nursing programs. ATELE,Tonga (June 19, 2013) Pacific Partnership 2013 U.S. and partners nation service members install a ceiling to the Atele Primary School as a part of a Pacific Partnership engineering project. Working at the invitation of each host nation, Pacific Partnership is joined by partner nations that include Australia, Canada, Colombia, France, Japan, Malaysia Singapore, South Korea and New Zealand to strengthen disaster response preparedness around the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Many days at lakeshore, kids from Birmgingham come to interact, build relationships, and play games with other kids with disabilities. Our ladies got to join with them and play several fun games. Lots of new friends were made.

For what should be a required experience for everyone, the girls enjoyed a Wheelchair Basketball Clinic at the All People's Life Center. They got to see what it is like playing sports in a wheelchair, and played along side other people with disabilities.

On March 27, officers from WorkSafeBC, Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE), RCMP and Employment Standards branch held the first joint roadside inspection of 2012 in Delta, B.C. The inspections ensure vehicles are mechanically sound, safe for transporting workers, and that drivers have the properly licensed for the vehicle. The annual inspection campaign includes a series of unannounced inspections primarily targeting vehicles transporting workers to agricultural work sites.
For their second day on the program, the ladies visited the Womens Basketball Hall of Fame. At the facility they played some wake up games and then toured the museum. After this, they enjoyed a luncheon and panel where they shared a little about themselves and heard a wonderful message from olympic swimmer Kate Ziegler. After the wonderful meal, the girls gathered for a time of curriculum to begin thinking about the state of women and sports in their communities.

Today the ladies went to spend time learning about adaptive sports with Joan Joyce and about how they can encourage people with disabilities in their own country. Then, they went to their last session with Grandmaster Ken Carlson for some fun team/trust building exercises.

I've been in one of my moods thinking about the people that were important to me that were no longer in my life which is what actually prompted me to start going through my old negatives to see what I could salvage.
I guess you could say that my mom was the biggest fag hag I knew until I met my friend Jennifer. There was a time in her life that gay men seem to gravitate towards her. I don't know if it was her spirit or what but that was true for a short period of her life. Despite her religious views and upbringing she was able to overcome some obstacles to forge some pretty strong friendships that I don't think she had been able to before this point.
Anyway, after High School I was even more of a loner more than normal as all my friends who were able to do so went off to college or moved away from Houston. I'm not sure what they saw in a brainy, quiet, goth boy but they all took me under their wing so to speak. Maybe they things in me that I hadn't up to that point but they took an interest and tried to help guide me to be a better me. There have been many times where I wish there were here to give me advice of to guide me through some of the difficult stuff that I've had to deal with.
Butch, on the left, I still see ever now and then. Charles on the right was one of the last to pass away in my extended family. Or at least until John Pierce passed.
This was taken during Thanksgiving Dinner at John Spencer Pierce's house. (You had to call him by all three names or it was going to be trouble). We had all been cutting up real bad the whole night. Butch was telling me that I was starting stuff by taking this picture and that i was going to get him in trouble. I was laughing the whole time I was taking this.
