I loved the sky that day. This shot was taken on the same day at around 4.30pm and this was around 5.10pm. This is the view from opposite the Textile Library bus-stop. The reflection of the setting sun is not clear in this picture and the one in which that is clear, the rest of the picture is underexposed... so I kept it this way.

I am trying to emphasize the geometric perspective of the Partners-I building and the wonderful sky in this shot.

Yes, another Partners shot from me. Seems like I always have to stop by and visit them on every trip I take. These flowers aren't my favorite around the statue but they still are pretty and everything is such a wonderful green!

As for the shot, this is a single shot edited with Nik Viveza and Color Efex 4.

Please don't hesitate to tell me what you think, comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated! :)

Remember my training partner from way back? She stuck with me for a tough, hot run I had to get in today. Thank you, Clare.

More than 1,500 Special Olympics athletes, 100 Unified Partners and 620 coaches from across Minnesota competed at the 2016 Summer Games, held June 23-25. One of seven annual Special Olympics Minnesota (SOMN) state competitions, Summer Games showcased athletes, with and without intellectual disabilities, in athletics (track and field), volleyball, gymnastics and tennis. Summer Games also featured a 5K, Healthy Athletes programs and screenings as well as a celebration ceremony featuring FOX 9 Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard, a gauntlet formed with men and women in uniform and live music by the Live Wire Band at Eastview High School. Thank you to Kris Harris for capturing our 2016 Summer Games!

Today the ladies went to spend time learning about adaptive sports with Joan Joyce and about how they can encourage people with disabilities in their own country. Then, they went to their last session with Grandmaster Ken Carlson for some fun team/trust building exercises.

We've been very happy to have Wai-Ling Eng, member of the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC,) join us for the second half of the trip.

RMHC has been one of Interplast's strongest partners, supporting our surgical programs for over a decade. It was great to see Wai-Ling interacting with all the kids. Her background as a nurse was truly helpful, and she was welcomed in to the operating room to observe numerous operations.

At the dinner last night with our local partners, Wai-Ling shared the following:

"My experience with you has re-affirmed the reason we fund you and the type of work you do, which is consistent with our mission to create, find and support programs that improve the health and well-being of children...if you change a child's life, you change a family's life too, which can change a community and ultimately the world. What you do accomplishes this with long term and meaningful impact to children, their families and their communities."

We'd like to thank Wai-Ling for making the long journey to join this team. Her energy and enthusiasm were a welcome addition to our experience. We would like to thank and recognize RMHC for their continued commitment to healing bodies and changing lives.
