Between my wife and I we have 7 guitars. One is not pictured because it was a gift and it needs work. My guitars are on the couch. (left to right); Guild GX Electric Acoustic, Vantage Electric Classical, Ibanez EX1.
At the foot of the couch are my wife's guitars. (Left to right); B.C Rich Warlock (Bass), B.C. Rich Draco, Schecter Raiden Special 5 (Bass).
I will retake this pic with a better angle and lighting. I also need to space out the guitars better.

UUSC staff members traveled on a fiber boat entering Wagina Island. Wagina was established in the 1950's by British colonists to resettle I-Kiribati people, reportedly due to a famine in Kiribati. Today, Wagina villagers are again facing the threat of famine. Dry spells and low rainfalls are causing water insecurity. Wagina only has a few communal water tanks, which are rusty, unsafe and too small to cater for the Island's growing population. At the same time, rising sea levels are making their soils too salty. The absence of safe and reliable water supply coupled with the threat of rising sea levels increases the risk of forcible displacement for many villagers.

Located in the hub of Disneyland, the Partners statue is a tribute to the enduring partnership
between Walt Disney and his beloved animated character Mickey Mouse. The Partners statue
was sculpted by Disney Legend and Imagineer Blaine Gibson and was installed in 1993 for
Mickey Mouse’s 65th birthday. Speaking about the sculpture, Blaine comments that Walt is
gesturing out into the park and saying to Mickey Mouse, “Look what we created”.

February was a sad month for the Wild Ennerdale partners as we said goodbye to Jeremy Barlow who is moving with the National Trust from looking after Ennerdale to a new larger area in South Cumbria. Jeremy is a founding member of the Partnership without whom Wild Ennerdale would not exist. We all wish him all the best in his new job. As if in response the valley served up a fantastic day for a partners meeting outside Blacksail YHA.

I had a little trouble with the blown out snow where the light peeks through under the dog. Apart from that I'm fairly satisfied with this picture.

On September 16, 2011, WLP partners and board members from all over the world convened
for our annual Transnational Partners Convening in Warrenton, Virginia. Thirty-one participants flew in from Bahrain,
Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria,
Norway, Pakistan, Palestine, Turkey, and Zimbabwe. The four-day program provided partners
the opportunity to share respective country developments, experiences using WLP curriculum
and materials, outcomes of partner peer-to-peer strategic planning sessions, and organizational
updates and innovations. Attendees participated in financial capacity building sessions,
explored ways to expand organizational outreach, deliberated over WLP’s priorities, and
reflected on democratic transitions in the world with a particular focus on the Arab Spring. In
addition, WLP introduced its new Global Training of Trainers (G-TOT) initiative. The TPC
culminated with an event on “Women and Democratic Transition in the Middle East” at the
Woodrow Wilson Center, where WLP partners and board members discussed what the Arab
Spring means for women’s rights and how to achieve viable democracies.
In particular, this year we increased
partner participation to focus on key
issues like capacity building and
strategic planning that take into
account the Partnership’s foundations.
Partners reflected positively on WLP’s
work, expressing appreciation for
belonging to a global, non-hierarchical
organization with a shared vision that
has, in many ways, increased their
respective capacity. They agreed that
the curriculum development and
cultural adaptation are exceptional and
highly relatable to their respective
constituencies, that WLP trainings are unique and are applicable to diverse audiences, and that
the advocacy strategies employed by each partner organization are supported by regional and
international activists and networks.
