The Lakeshore Foundation brought the girls in for a quick swim lesson, as many of the ladies have never swam before. A few of them braved the waters and learned some great new skills while growing more comfortable in the pool.

As a service project, the ladies joined with Martha's Table to provide food for some amazing people.

Evelyn made a picture for me before we attempted the very important face paint. It showed her face with four carefully placed rectangles. Each were labelled "red" so I would know exactly which crayon to grab.
My traveling partner and I met this lovely man in Baisha, Yunnan province, China. He was so friendly and forced us with warmth to come into his house and see how he lives and to meet his family. It was truly a unique experience. After snapping some shots of him he insisted that I send him the photos to his small town. He was so cute - he took out his brand new social security card that his picture appeared on to show me his address.
The ladies got a quick lesson from Coach Lisa in the details of Wheelchair basketball, then were honored to watch some of her team's practice.
