Partial lunar eclipse, seen from Sapporo in the evening of 4 June 2012.
The exposure was chosen such that the shaded part of the lunar disk can still be seen. The bright part is therefore heavily overexposed.
The next chance to observe a lunar eclipse (even a total one) will be on 13/14 March 2025. It will be completely visible over the Americas, seen rising over northeast Asia and Australia, and setting over Europe and Africa (www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2025-march-14).

We experienced a partial solar eclipse on the west coast of Florida, maximum 60% at 3:00 PM local time. The skies were fairly clear throughout, with some high cloud filling in after the maximum.

Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars

I only had a ND110 filter for the shot and had to compromise the sharpness of the sun to get a chance of the weather vane in silhouette
Earlier today, I was looking down into a big puddle beside the road. The puddle was reflecting the pale blue/grey sky and wispy twigs. It was only where the shadows of large branches directly overhead, blocked the light, that I could see the bottom of the puddle and all these dead leaves, some of which were covered in mud.
As viewed from Mt Washington, NH. Cloudy skies made it difficult to view the partial solar eclipse from start to finish, but we periodically got glimpses of the activity through thinner patches.
The side and most of the back of this house is gone, but I liked the way the light was shining out of the windows. This house is hidden in the summer and is just becoming visible now.
I don’t think it will last another winter.
Taken in cloud cover in garden in Waltham Abbey ,Essex,UK. Only managed to get off 6 shots before cloud closed in.

Today (6/10/2021) is an annular solar eclipse, but we only had a partial Solar Eclipse, and the weather was partial cloudy too.

As I had said in previous photos, honoring the 450th anniversary of Rio de Janeiro, I'm posting some photos already public before.

Capturing images that are other worldly are always amazing and fun to try and capture without a tripod... a midday shot of the moon, blue sky... just me and my camera, freehand maxed out on the zoom... so fun!
Actually the sky was clear, but down low in south-east some clouds appeared. Unfortunately they decided to stay in front of the moon. :(
In this case, I was glad not to take the whole telescope with mount out.
A partial parhelic circle I saw yesterday, was initially quite confused by it as it looked like a skew halo! The little bright patch (which was clearer in reality) is a 120 degree parhelia.

The underside shot of this spider showed the web much better than the other side, so I'm using this one for Web Wednesday. You can see the other side of the same spider in the next photo.

On Wednesday early morning I went to Stanford University to experience the rare celestial trifecta: A supermoon (14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual), a blood moon (lunar eclipse where the moon is in the shadow of the earth), and a blue moon (the second full moon in a month) at the same time.
The different in brightness on a partial lunar eclipse is very large, too big to capture the full dynamic range with a single exposure. I captured two exposures, one for the illuminated part, one for the red part. They were 4 stops apart. I combined them with HDR processing. The resulting image looks balanced, actually almost too balanced. What do you think?
The 600mm long Tamron lens on a A6000 crop sensor camera becomes 900mm, which makes the moon appear to be very close.
I processed balanced HDR photos from two RAW exposures, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.
