This was an image taken at 14mm that I ended up cropping to remove some unwanted foreground rock that made it looke too busy. Turned into a partial pano, but it was a single image taken at 14mm. Notice how the lake looks like a wolfs head!!! Link to Vlog below!!!

I was just packing up from some morning shots, when this partial reflection of Odaray Mountain in Lake O'Hara appeared. A slight wind was moving the water on the far side of the lake, but the closest area was shielded by the rocks.

It is a perennial shrub or tree, very popular in tropical landscaping, which has a woody, erect, branched and thorny stem.

The inflorescences are composed of red, orange-red, pinkish-red or yellow flowers, depending on the variety, all characterized by long stamens. Flowering occurs in spring and summer.

The fruits are of the vegetable type and appear in Autumn.

 

It should be grown in full sun or partial shade, but is tolerant of light cold, in subtropical or Mediterranean climates, becoming deciduous (loses its leaves in Winter). It is multiplied by seeds.

 

Some peoples use the plant as a medicinal plant, with anti-inflammatory properties, but care must be taken as it is a toxic plant, including abortifacient.

Cover Picture - **Platinum Hearts Hall of Fame**

Following on from my previous image of sunrise here. The cloud bank started to roll back towards the East gradually exposing more of the sunrise light as it went.

I drove by this bouse near Pienza several times before I stopped to take a picture. The cedar trees are blocking the view of the house, and to its occupants, offering only partial privacy from the traffic on the road. I decided that was what made it interesting.
