Today has been a very baaaad day.
I failed an exam, pathology (no not the House M.D one LOL, that one I passed it). It's another one, a beeep beeeep beeeep and beeeep difficult one. It is consider to be the toughest exam along together with medical clinic (if that is the correct english term).
Owww well, I feel like crap. So I was in the mood to upload a picture just to give up with the sadness...shit it's a never ending study, medicine that is off course.
On the other hand I got also a great news today. One part-time job I do is selling medical/physiatric/rehabilitation devices for the factory of my father. Actually I'm a scouter for possible sales (since I know lots of people in the segment of medicine/dental medicine), my job is looking for possible new clients. If the sale (after having given the contact) goes well I get a commission on it.
3 months ago I nailed one, and now that the client payed the stuff I got my commission and I'll be buying some stuff, yay!!!
Probably I'll invest into a good manfrotto boom, which are crazy good but also crazy expensive LOL.
Anyway, another one for the "shallow DoF portrait" series.
This is Omar, a very cool and easy dude I met 2 weeks ago. He was kind enough to let me shoot him for the project :D
Cheers mate
Hope you enjoy
Hopefully I'll have something fresh in the next weeks.

This is the iconic Queensborough Bridge. Also called the 59th Street Bridge. Today, it's been renamed the Edward Koch Bridge in recognition of the late NYC mayor.
It's unique design, unlike the other steel cable suspension bridges throughout the city. It also has snaking on and off ramps after decades of modifying it for various traffic.
I coin it as my freedom bridge, because it represented a great part of my childhood, my teen-aged years. I was an enthusiastic cyclist, and by accessing closed roadway, one can ride over the East River between the two boroughs. This allowed me to commute across it all summer in 1981 to ride to my job in uptown Manhattan. My first part time job as a teen. It afforded me to indulge in my HiFi stereo hobby, and to build my very first high performance road bike, which I still have today. The bridge also allowed access to Manhattan, and Central Park. It was a great escape every Sunday morning to ride into the Park with friends to spend the day riding with other road bike riders and racers. It was a splendid time and I believe it kept most of my friends and I out of trouble. No smoking, no drinking, and no drugs.
Looking back at the bridge after all these decades away, at that STOP sign where I would ride down the ramp next to that line of cars and then turn left to head west down 60th St....
Fond memories of a very good period of my life.

These are my favorite shoes ever. I also love how tall the grass is. As soon as I took this picture though the mowing guy came by and cut it :-(
I quit the job at walgreens that I just started yesterday. I felt so sick by the time I got home after 8 hours of being in the coldest building in my life. The manager said that he was warm natured and if I didn't like it then bring a sweater. I decided it wouldn't be worth putting my heath at risk for a part time job.

They say a sleeping dragon is one of the most beautiful things and yet one of the most dangerous. Even in sleep the tendrils of smoke curl from their nostrils and even the most gentle cough can cause a forest fire.
Today was good. I finally called back who's hobby to see if anything had come of my application. And YES they wanted an interview. So I went in and interviewed. I also found out that today was the last day for the application so I ran to find Nick to get his application in... I really hope he at least gets a part time job there... it would help a lot... I know it will help me.

today i finished up one of my part time jobs---until the end of june when it starts up again. it was an afterschool program for preschoolers. these girls are some of my favorites....they are so adorable. they are from bangladesh and some of the most amazing artists for their age. the younger one is 3, and the older one is 4. i teach this program in an area where many people from all different countries and cultures come together. these 2 girls speak very little english, yet clearly understand the universal language of art. i will miss them so much when the program starts up again in a few weeks, as they are moving to a new community. they are truly sunshines.

The Observer exclusively revealed last year how north west chain Bravo Inns bought The Warners Arms to turn it into their ‘flagship’ venue.
Work has been carried out over the past few months to bring it back to its former glory and also to create a pre-night club venue called the iBar.
Twelve full and part time jobs have been created and the pub was due to hold a launch night on Thursday, April 3 at 7pm.

During this evening, the Blikopeners of the Stedelijk (young people with part-time jobs in the museum) examine the thin line dividing an original from a reproduction. Young musicians will cover Shocking Blue’s “Venus” (the Stedelijk was the background for the music video); photocopiers make it possible for everyone to determine the circulation of a work by Piet Parra; a continuous experiment examines the survival of long stories that are passed on orally; and there is a masterclass to answer the question whether art can be practiced anywhere and by anyone by following instructions. In addition, artists and employees of the Stedelijk give short talks to describe how reproductions influence their work. A selection of reinterpretations, odes, and appropriations in contemporary and video art will be on display throughout the building.
Tomomi likes sleep in the evening, after her sport activities, when she didn't have to go to her part-time job in a bakery.
2 foot by 2 foot acrylic painting of a brown bear started. I started 5 of these today. I feel like concentrating on writing and drawing comics for the last couple of days, these painting ideas have been allowed to marinate in the back of my mind. That seems to be the way my process works. I never get creatively blocked because I bounce back and forth between the styles and stories in my head. I'll post progress shots of these until I head off to my part time job tonight, good times!
I try my best, I hope you like your dinner.

As you may have noticed my photos have been a bit dead lately... This is because in the summer I have had a part time job at Bright Bricks, A place in which they build LEGO models for companies (Including models like a Giant Woolly Mammoth, Rolls Royce Jet engine and even a 8 meter X-mas Tree!)
So sorry about the lack of photos. But there will be an upcoming show on the 23rd - 25th August, at Sandown Racecouse, Esher, Surrey (England). So if you want to come along there will be models from Bright Bricks and from other AFOLS. Im going to be at the show on the 25th so if you want to meet me come along! See you there.

This is the notice for part-time job from Lotteria, that is the Japanese fast-food humberger chain like Macdonalds. As can be seen the picture above, I guess most applicants are high school or college students. This humberger chain offeres 9.5 usd -11 usd for 1 hour. I think that is the pretty good job offer, is it?

had breakfast with my brother, sister, and sisters boyfriend. took a dip in the pool. went to sisters hair appointment at my old part-time job (also, the salon my friend tad owns), and then headed to sisters evening graduation. all followed by dinner and drinks at BJs at desert ridge, and more drinks at my brothers house.
it was a loooooong day.
Johnny has a part-time job, until April 2012, at the refurbished National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. John, Jenny and I went through today to see him in action! And John wanted to see the large statues of The Buddha...
I met some mainly ex-pat bikers at the hotel where I stayed in Lambarene. They'd ridden from Libreville for a Saturday night away (about 140 miles). Some coincidence - they were by chance in the next chalets, and they were THE only other "real" bikes I saw in the whole of Gabon (I'd actually seen three in Cameroon).
Zoran (pictured) is Serbian and had just imported this Africa Twin from France, while keeping his 1200 GSA back in Serbia. He's worked in Libreville for many years and is now looking after the finances of a big construction company, while his 'part-time' job is as Serbia's Vice-Consul in Gabon.
He invited me to ride back to Libreville with them and stay at his apartment. Really nice to stay in someone's home for a change. In fact he could not have looked after me better, helping me sort out a few practicalities while stubbornly refusing to let me pay for anything! Hopefully we'll catch up in the UK sometime and I can return his hospitality - if not I'm sure we will someday.
bahhh i'm sorry for my lack of activity on here! i feel so bad, especially since i have so many things i want to share with you!
i've refined my shirt pattern that i can easily alter to use for both sweatshirts, sweaters, and "button up" shirts! I just haven't had time to make anything with it ;-;
hopefully, if everything goes well this weekend and i don't have to work late i can get some sewing done! i decided when i make this new stuff it'll will be "what you see is what you get", meaning it's not made to order, you get what you see in the picture and i'm removing all of my mto stuff because it's just not doing well! D:
i'm working on pants patterns and legging patterns, as well as some taeyang patterns; it takes time for me because i'm using patterns i had for 18" American girl dolls and resizing them to fit pullip/taeyangs! bear with me, it's not my specialty!
i'm also working on sewing clothes for me, and fixing some clothes my brother needs for work so bear in mind real life has to take priority over my dolls :v also please know i'm finishing up my senior year of high school and i have a part time job AND i'm applying for new jobs so i might double up in the summer. busy busy ;0;
so, here's an old picture of keiko wearing a shirt i made to test the pattern, but it wasn't good, so i redid it and now the shirts look better - unfortunately i don't have my camera handy to take a picture of one of the better ones!
