VB-4. Although the theme of London Bus Museum’s 2014 Spring Gathering was a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the RTs, there were also some other interesting visiting buses including this 1962 Stockport Corporation Leyland PD2.
Like many of the RTs and other buses, it did a stint on route 462, the shuttle service connecting the Brooklands Museum with Weybridge Railway Station and the Town Centre.
The London Bus Museum is now located at the Brooklands Museum near Weybridge in Surrey.

Salford Corporation took delivery of a batch of twenty-five Leyland Titan PD2/40s with Metro-Cammell 64 seat front entrance bodywork, numbered 233-257, in 1966. They passed to SELNEC PTE on 1 November 1969 and were renumbered 3079-3103 in 1970. They survived to be transferred to Greater Manchester PTE on 1 April 1974. 254 (FRJ254D) has been preserved and is part of the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester collection. It was photographed at Heaton Park, Manchester on 2 September 2007 while it was taking part in the Trans-Lancs Rally.
Paton Bros number 80 was this ex Ribble Motors Leyland PD2, CCK634, seen here at their Renfrew Ferry garage. Cunningham's of Paisley also operated buses from the same batch on their route between Renfrew Ferry and Paisley County Square. From a collection which I purchased on e-bay, photographer not known.
RUF186. Former Southdown fleet number 786 this is a Leyland PD2 with Beadle H59RD bodywork.
One of a batch of 12 similar vehicles delivered new in 1956.
Amberley Museum Bus Day, 21st September 2014
This is one of the participants in the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1993. It's a 1948 Leyland Titan PD2/1 that was provided new to Weardale Motor Services of Frosterley, County Durham and remained with them until 1970. The programme of the event said this about the vehicle:

Leyland PD2/3 FFY304 has just emerged from winter hibernation. I took her for servicing a few miles away, complete with a layer of dust and several examples of arachnid art. Or cobwebs, if you prefer.

This smart PD2, restored after a thorough restoration, was new to Ribble in 08/1956 being one of forty-five of the type supplied new in that year. All these, apart from the latter five, had a power operated rear platform-door. Making it's preservation debut during 2021, it is seen here on display at the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust's Lytham Hall Rally & Running Day, on 17/07/2022. Alongside is something a little different! It is preserved Stagecoach Ribble 135 F135SPX, Duple bodied Dennis Javelin 11SDL1914. It was new to Hampshire Bus(801), in 03/1989, being one of three. All three then passed within Stagecoach Holdings to Stagecoach Ribble and worked out of Morecambe depot. This photo was taken from preserved Devon General, 'Sir Thomas Howard' - 931, 931 GTA, a convertible open-top bodied Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 when on a Barrow Transport Group members tour when leaving the running day. A recent acquisition as part of the BTG collection, it was new to Devon General(DL931), in 06/1961, and is preserved in NBC 'Local Coach' livery. It is one of several 'Sea Dog' Atlanteans in preservation. © Peter Steel 2022.
New to North Western Road Car Company, it's seen at Heaton Park and next to it on the left is preserved Wigan Corporation's Leyland Titan PD2, new in 1958 and on the right is the 1939 Bristol K5G, also new to North Western
Blackpool Transport open top East Lancs bodied Leyland Titan PD2 532, DHC 784 E is pictured at a rally in Fleetwood. This bus was new to Eastbourne Corporation (#84) in 1967 and was converted to open top in the mid'70s, passing to Blackpool Transport in 1989 when it was exchanged for a closed top Leyland Titan PD3. After use in Blackpool it passed to Mac Tours (#84) in Edinburgh and has recently returned to its original stomping grounds serving with Seaford & District.
