Sometimes, people have great ideas for games. We're happy for you, we are. But you know what? Our studio isn't gonna help you realize your vision, and chances are no other company will. It's shocking, but the reason we dove headfirst into the start-up ocean full of shattered dreams and razor blades was because WE ACTUALLY HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR A GAME TOO! If you really feel passionately about your idea and want nothing more than to see it live then go make it your own damn self, we're busy. But we'll throw you a bone with this helpful panel full of tidbits on how to get started. Let us regale you with tales of wonder and woe, led by our fearless moderator Ichiro Lambe. Only the brave will survive, no refunds.

Panelists include: Chris Oltyan [Producer, Dire Wolf Digital], Eitan Glinert [President, Fire Hose Games], Scott Macmillan [President, Macguffin Games], Ichiro Lambe [President, Dejobaan Games], Damian Isla [Director of Technology, Moonshot Games]

Yes, well technically I own two records. Both are part of Fear Before the March of Flames' (now known as Fear Before) "The Always Open Mouth". I picked up this record back when I shot them at the Canal Club with Circa Survive, and this was way back before they had a downstairs venue. I even got the cover signed by the members of the band. I listened to it for the first time in a while today, and it still sounds great.

Not to many people taking this route at the moment so Nigel gets his own seat.

I own this Minolta lens MD 1:4 f=17mm since January 2020 but I did not used it too much beside some digital series (as this one : flic.kr/s/aHsmL8WMnJ ) when adapted to one of my Sony A7. The extreme wide-angle rectilinear lens needs some training to adapt during the photographic session. The angle is so wide (104° in the image diagonal) that it requires to turn the head around the scene to imagine the picture possible before framing.

On December 19, 2022, I decided to mount the lens on one of my two Minolta X-700, the "China" version (assembled in China 1993-1999). The camera was also equipped with its motor drive MD1 and the Minolta multi-function back. I loaded the X-700 with a B&W super-panchromatic Rollei Retro 400S (Agfa Aviphot 400) 36-exposure film.

The Agfa Aviphot film used for aerial photography is specially sensitized in the red, up to 780nm in the near IR instead of the regular 650-680 nm limit of a normal panchromatic film. The film provides usually high-definition and high-contrast negative views. What is more the Agfa Aviphot is coated on a thin and flat polyester base without any base color increasing the contrast as well. However to prevent the halation possible the Agfa Aviphot is coated on the backside with a black and blue anti-halation pigment to inhibit the light back diffusion (halation). The printing of data from a data back could be then a problem. I tested here the date print on the first initialization frame setting the intensity to the maximum available on the Minolta multi-function back (there are 6 levels of intensity available). The anti-halation is quite penetrated by the red light of the electro-luminescent diodes and a half intensity may be just enough.

On the almost same photo walk done on December 14, 2022 with my range-finder FOCA PF2B and its normal lens, the film was exposed for 400 ISO in the manual mode following either the Minolta X-700 indications or determining the exposure using my Minolta Autometer III and a 10° finder for selective measurements.

After exposures the film was processed using Adox Adonal (strictly equivalent to Agfa Rodinal) developer at dilution 1+25, 20°C for 10min 30s. The film was then digitalized using a Sony A7 body fitted to a Minolta Slide Duplicator installed on a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5. The RAW files obtained were then processed in LR and finally edited to the final jpeg pictures.

All views of the film are presented in the dedicated album either in the printed framed versions and unframed full-size jpeg.

Washmorgan Hollow is a 73-acre natural area in Jackson County and is owned by The Nature Conservancy of Tennessee. This sheltered ravine on the Eastern Highland Rim has a rich and diverse flora uncommon in many other areas in the region. It provides excellent habitat for plants and animals alike. The narrow winding ridges are separated by steep slopes that drop between 200 and 300 feet to the bottom of the hollow. A perennial stream tumbles over a waterfall at the head of the hollow. The stream flows out of Washmorgan Hollow into Roaring River just below the confluence where Spring Creek enters Roaring River. Both of these are state scenic rivers.

The forest in this natural area is relatively undisturbed, and birdwatchers have observed neotropical warblers here that includes cerulean warblers, scarlet tanagers, and worm-eating warblers. The rich slopes support red and sugar maples, large beeches, and tulip poplars. There are large sycamore trees and box elder in the hollow along the stream. The forest throughout Washmorgan Hollow is a mixed mesophytic community type as indicated by the presence of buckeye and basswood. In addition to all the many co-dominants already described, many other species of ash, oak, and hickory are a part of this forest. Unfortunately, the impact of butternut canker can be observed here as many of the butternut trees (Juglans cinerea) have been affected and are dead or dying.

This rich hollow with its steep slopes and mixed mesophytic forest supports a colorful spring flora. The flora includes a large population of synandra (Synandra hispidula), which is the mint family, and uncommon in Tennessee.

Owned & Brewed locally in the High Country. Our motto says it all ACT LOCAL, DRINK LOCAL. www.appalachianmountainbrewery.com

Start designing your own beer.

With over 250 micro-breweries in the Netherlands alone, and these numbers quickly rising, we seem to be entering another golden age of brewing. What unites these independent breweries is the fact that most of them started their business in their own homes and kitchens. And now you can do the same! Start designing a beer brand and learn how to brew your own sixpack. From milling and mashing to filtering, storage, naming and bottling.

This workshop is divided into two parts, brewing (6 hrs.) and bottling (1 hr), and given by Simon Buijs from Brouwerij De Bierkraai.

My own dear little stash of olives from Mahane Yehuda. No one else loves olives! How lucky is that?! 3 kinds: oil cured, hot and spicy little greens, and cracked lemony spicy big greens. Sad, sad, I couldn't finish them, and had to leave some behind.

Jeremy Staples (founder of Bizoo St Zine) and Eloise Quinlaven (founder of Smells Like Zines) gave us a practical hands on workshop to create our own Zine.

What is a Zine? A small circulation publication most commonly produced by photocopying your original handmade zine.
