Guys I have to own up and come clean so to speak when we were up at Aberfeldy for Autumn shots as we were driving back, I noticed must have been 20 Roe Deer so stopped on this slip road I only had my 20mm with me so wasn't able to get a decent shot but realized this must be farmed deer as there was a high fence on leaving and still looking to my left saw red deer as well so decided to pop back up but the roe deer weren't there some work was getting done drove up the slip road and saw the red deer quickly got out went to side of fence grabbed a few shots was there about 2 mins they moved away on seeing me but then stopped and just looked obviously used to people there was a huge type of warehouse with lots of steam coming from it so just left quickly but might pop back if we get snow it was a opportunity to good to miss.

When I was a child.....baseball was the sport played in our backyard in New Jersey. I have three brothers and six sisters so we pretty much had our own family team. Now, just a few years later, baseball still rules with my own kids!

Paying Rent 🌹

I Own Nothing

I Rent A Space In Time

This Is A place I Occupy

But I Can't Say It's Mine

For A Few Short moments Only

The Blink Of A Tearful Eye

That's How Long I'll Be Here

In This Space That I occupy

I Bring No goods, No Land, No Wealth As I Am Born Into This Place

Luckily For Me though

I Can Rent This Little Space.

This little cabin belongs to a woman who lives in a high end suburb of Washington D.C. Once a month like clockwork, she spends the weekend. Her presence is known by a car parked in a small indent on the dirt road. The cabin blends into the woods and can't be seen unless you climb up her little worn path. There is no electric, no water, no internet, no cell service. Just a little wood stove, a small table, two chairs - one comfy - and a bed. An outhouse hides further back in the woods. The porch has what once passed as a chaise lounge. I've never met her, even though she is a neighbor, but she is hospitable. There's a welcoming sign on her porch and contact information tacked to her door. We've exchanged a couple of little notes left, yup, in a bottle. And on one occasion when I was feeling particularly harried by our business and the farm, I stopped here on my way home from work and sat on her steps to feel the world slow. Everyone needs a room of one's own.

We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path.

The barracks were built between 1717 and 1721 by Nicholas Hawksmoor for the Board of Ordnance to protect the town during the Jacobite risings. The work, which involved two parallel blocks of military accommodation, was supervised by Captain Thomas Phillips. An additional block was added between 1739 and 1741. After the Napoleonic Wars the barracks were abandoned but put back into use in the 1850s.

Following the Childers Reforms, the barracks became the depot of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, who arrived from Fulford Barracks in July 1881. The regiment moved out of the barracks in 1963 and they are now maintained by English Heritage.

Nicholas Hawksmoor was an English architect. He was a leading figure of the English Baroque style of architecture in the late-seventeenth and early-eighteenth centuries

This, too, is from our own personal garden. It's my husband that has the green thumb! He just loves making his garden just shine! These Clematis were so big and beautiful, I couldn't resist grabbing a few pics! Hope you enjoy!

At night, the park is free from noise and fuss, does not look like itself, and it seems that a lone passerby steps cautiously, frightened by the sound of his own steps.

Ночью парк свободен от шума и суеты, не похож сам на себя и, кажется, что одинокий прохожий ступает осторожно, пугаясь звука собственных шагов.

I know this is a sad song for Valentine's Day but.....I actually find it very romantic. Haven't we all been here? And sometimes.......we get what we want. I know I did. :)

"On My Own" by Frances Ruffelle

On my own, pretending he's beside me

All alone, I walk with him 'til morning

Without him, I feel his arms around me

And when I lose my way I close my eyes and he has found me

In the rain, the pavement shines like silver

All the lights are misty in the river

in the darkness, the trees are full of starlight

And all I see is him and me, forever and forever

Photo created and taken on my own land in SL

And here I go again on my own,

Going down the only road I've ever known,

Like a hobo I was born to walk alone,

And I've made up my mind,

I ain't wasting no more time.

TRUTH

We all have our own truth

Credos that we abide by

It stops us falling into murky waters

Getting lost by the wayside

It can be difficult staying on the path

I wish I had Dante and Virgil at my side

Instead I rely on your light to guide me

Love like a burning flame inside

I knew it would not be easy

I have my own steep hills to climb

But I would do it all again if you asked me

At least I can say I have tried

This flame may die down into embers

Ready to ignite at your word

Such love can never be extinguished

Like a heart that never really dies

Can I still find my way through the forest

Navigate my way past the lies

See the truth of you in front of me

Answering all the tears that I have cried

I have been taking a little break from Flickr after my last upload of images. So consequently I am a bit behind with my usual thank you’s. So I thought I would place this up here in the meantime for you to thank you all for your support. Those of you who have got to know me and my work know how much these pieces mean to me, and the journey that led me to create them and share them here. Each poem is deeply felt and a reality to me, and can be emotionally challenging to write. I am learning that not only do I need time to create them, I also need time to rest in between them. Thank you again for all your kind words, faves and views. I would have found it difficult to keep going without you.

One of my wishes is that those dark trees,

So old and firm they scarcely show the breeze,

Were not, as 'twere, the merest mask of gloom,

But stretched away unto the edge of doom.

I should not be withheld but that some day

into their vastness I should steal away,

Fearless of ever finding open land,

or highway where the slow wheel pours the sand.

I do not see why I should e'er turn back,

Or those should not set forth upon my track

To overtake me, who should miss me here

And long to know if still I held them dear.

They would not find me changed from him they knew--

Only more sure of all I though was true.

With the strange winter weather we have been experiencing in the midwest this year so far, migrating geese have seemed a little confused on what to do...join the crowd or go your own way?

Que la metralla torpe de los liliputienses

nunca llame a tu fiesta

May the clumsy shrapnel of Liliputians

never knock at your party

May madness never splash you

cynism with its tv snow

May they not shoot at you among latex lilies

with skimpy servings of passion and truth

May they not sell you the air, the sun,

the trace of the beauty, of friendship.

What's worth it its for free

And may they never threaten you with barbed wire

the blue gift throbbing in your memory

May you enjoy and be enjoyed, infinite and happy

and may your bones burst into love underground

Every sunset has its own beauty. Sometimes it's the clouds that make the scene spectacular. Sometimes it's the sun that dives into the sea. Sometimes it's just the warmth you get from the colors and the feeling that you are the viewer of one of nature's most spectacular sights. You don't have to think about composition rules, settings and POVs. The beauty is there.. All you have to do is hit the shutter speed and forget about the rest.. chances are that you just captured something amazing.

Walking under a high grove. On your own. ..look up and along. Listen to them as they observe you passing

I own all rights to the images I post, thanks for respecting that <3

Shadows on the wall

Noises down the hall

Life doesn't frighten me at all

Bad dogs barking loud

Big ghosts in a cloud

Life doesn't frighten me at all

Mean old Mother Goose

Lions on the loose

They don't frighten me at all

Dragons breathing flame

On my counterpane

That doesn't frighten me at all.

I go boo

Make them shoo

I make fun

Way they run

I won't cry

So they fly

I just smile

They go wild

Life doesn't frighten me at all.

Tough guys fight

All alone at night

Life doesn't frighten me at all.

Panthers in the park

Strangers in the dark

No, they don't frighten me at all.

That new classroom where

Kissy little girls

With their hair in curls

They don't frighten me at all.

Don't show me frogs and snakes

And listen for my scream,

If I'm afraid at all

It's only in my dreams.

I've got a magic charm

That I keep up my sleeve

I can walk the ocean floor

And never have to breathe.

Life doesn't frighten me at all

Not at all

Not at all.

Life doesn't frighten me at all.

Hi everyone... I want to give your wonderful guys and gals an update... although I still struggle with chronic pain on a daily basis, some days are better than others. I still cannot shoot like I was used to... stooping, bending over, sitting on the ground, etc as is necessary to shoot macro, still isn't possible for me. For now, I must be content to (re)edit and (re)publish shots in my archives.

If you are in a position to help, I have setup an account to accept donations, even as little as the price of a coffee. Anything would be greatly appreciated. See my "About" page on Flickr for the link. Thank you. www.flickr.com/people/jax_chile/
