I talked to a man who lives across Rt. 250 from the store, and he said it closed up in the late 1980's, though someone tried to turn it into a junk/antique store that didn't do much business. To see that old hand-cranked pump though is something else.
I started out with the 28mm, then 35mm, and finished with the 50mm/f1.4. All good lenses, no issues with flare. I had the appropriate OEM hoods on them all.
Tashi ( Australian Shepherd / Chocololate Lab mix ) takes care of herself in play with Frankie, a one year old male Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix. Tashi will be six months old on May 14th. Tashi and Frankie met today at the Redding Dog Park.

Mark has found his own way into the industry in less than a year (completing apprenticeship in less than a summer).
Straight in at the deep end SNAKE's first real live ink was a tattoo around a customers ankle, a freehand cover up over some Indian Ink, a very small Boa Constrictor tattoo which soon got a lot of attention!
Ever since that first tattoo SNAKE has chosen to stick to his risky formula of freehand which soon won him a place in the international tattoo calendar (Landmarks of tattoo) being the only tattooist representing the UK, then weeks later to be featured front page in an international magazine (Tattoo You)... Since then his work has been seen in international publications, the internet and even on the skin of celebrities, Sports stars, Film stars, even Rock stars :)

The key for me was to show how much light comes into the room on this bright day, but not to have the daylight overwhelm the room. So one flash was just to the right of the sofa opposite the chest of drawers (you can see the reflection) and one inside the kitchen.
The challenge was balancing the ambient and flash to create a natural feel, and I felt this was pretty close.

Come and learn about the awesome art of zine-making: find out a bit about zine culture, read some classic fanzines, and use our resources to create your very own zine -- a compendium of your own work that you can give to friends, sell at readings or turn into a series.
You'll need to bring:
* yourself
* at least one of your poems (printed/typed/handwritten/whatever)
* enthusiasm
* OPTIONAL: stuff to decorate your zine -- anything 2D that will stick to a bit of paper. Photos, drawings, newspaper clippings, locks of hair, random scribblings, stickers, ticket stubs --anything that inspires you. We will supply a whole array of this stuff too, but the more you bring, the more original and personal your zine will be!
Come along and meet fellow poets and zine enthusiasts, use our resources and create something cool! All we ask is that you bring along three shiny pounds -- this will cover the cost of making copies of your zine for you to take away!

Claire Askew is the Editor in Chief of Read This, a literary zine founded in 2007, based in Edinburgh and printed with assistance from the Forest Free Press. Read This has to date produced twenty issues showcasing the best in poetry, prose and drama from brand new writers worldwide. The zine is due to re-launch soon after a year-long hiatus. Claire is currently reading a PhD in Creative Writing and Contemporary Scottish Poetry at the University of Edinburgh and lectures in Literature and Communication at Edinburgh's Telford College. Her poetry has been published by The Guardian, Poetry Scotland and The Edinburgh Review, among others, and she also runs the writing blog onenightstanzas.com.
I'm my own doo-ay. See... I take so many pics of it, it was only a matter of time before *I* became doo-ay. I took out a telephone pole, drove up a hugh embankment and landed upside down. I fractured my L1 vertabrae and may need surgery to prevent any spinal cord damage. So much for running that 46 miles... Oh, and from reading Rheta's back experience, i figured i broke something. So, i can honestly say, i feel your pain. Sigh, i totaled my Squee Mobile. With the heat seaters. Sigh.. Oh. Ouch.... Well, love me.

From the 7 pm of the 10th of july 2010 I spent 24 hours at my own photobooth, taking photos every 20 minutes + photos with everybody visiting.
It has been hard because I had the luck to choose the hottest days of the whole summer, but I'm happy of the results.
in 24 hours I took 92 photo strips.

On Friday, Oct. 22, Intersections hosted, “In Our Own Voice: Women Veterans Tell Their Stories.” The theatrical performance featured six women who through monologues shared the experiences of female veterans and active duty servicewomen. The project was created by the Psychotherapy and Spirituality Institute (PSI) of New York, and is based on a series of interviews with female veterans.
