Today I bottled my own handmade compound gin after 4 weeks of maturation and it's very good.
Towneley Park is owned and managed by Burnley Borough Council and is the largest and most popular park in Burnley, Lancashire, England.[1] The main entrance to the park is within a mile of the town centre and the park extends to the south east, covering an area of some 180 hectares (440 acres). At the southern end of the park is Towneley Hall, Burnley's art gallery and museum. To the north are golf courses and playing fields and to the south 24 acres of broadleaf woodland. On the southern boundary is a working farm called Towneley Farm with pastures and plantations extending eastwards into Cliviger.

Despite having Christmas on my own I had a fantastic day. An early morning zoom meeting watching my daughter and granddaughters opening presents, followed by the friendship of neighbours, then a fantastic muddy mountain bike ride to the coast, it felt wonderful to get some hard exercise . then another zoom meeting with my daughters, and lots of cooking to show my wonderful Italian friend Maura a traditional British Christmas dinner for our late night FaceTime Christmas special. Finally some dancing to Toots and The Maytals in a kilt :))))) Pressure Drop is by Toots and the Maytals. Sadly Toots Hibbert died to Covid last year, so sad, he was probably the most uplifting person I've ever seen perform at a gig. Pressure drop too after all my cooking exploits, just need to work out how to eat all this food :)))

This Adelie Penguin looks very happy to have his own ice island. Taken from a zodiac near Paulet Island, which is a circular island off the north-east end of the Antarctic Peninsula. It is a popular tourist stop because of the large Adelie Penguin colony. This was the fifth penguin 🐧 species that we saw.
I have been away for a few days so will catch up with everyone.

Taken Friday morning with my 'new' phone, then processed in Topaz Studio with a texture of my own. The weather went downhill shortly after this, it poured down for the rest of the the day. It doesn't seem like we'll get a proper summer this year, here in the UK. Marnie and I visit this place nearly every day if I'm short of time, as it's so close to home. She gets what she needs, familiarity and a space to roam. I get a nice view down the stream with flowers, beautiful trees and the sight and sound of trickling water.
You know I usually like to put music to my images, so here's something beautiful you may not have heard or seen before.
