I am trying to clear these photos up. Light pollution is hard to over come even in Adobe Light Room. The light source is from two different sources. The rising waxing gibbous moon and a controlled burn on the other side of the mountain coming from the same side! One thing I am happy for is that they were on the same side and not polar opposites. I am trying to learn this and I am a little frustrated. But I am trying and won't give up until I either get another shot at the Milky Way in pure darkness or I can master Light Room. Either way, I won't give up.

The Army West Point Football team staged a dramatic comeback effort against Tulane Nov. 14, but could not walk away with the victory at Michie Stadium. Despite overcoming a 21-point deficit, the Black Knights lost 34-31 on a last-second field goal by the Green Wave.

The Black Knights record now stands at 2-8 while the Green Wave moves to 3-7.

The Cadets' quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw set a career-high with 121 passing yards and added 72 rushing yards. The sophomore threw two touchdowns and tacked on another score on the ground while completing 6-of-10 passes.

Army running backs Christian Drake and John Trainor each had career days as well. The freshman Drake had 69 rushing yards while Trainor, who was split out wide much of the game, hauled in three catches for 81 yards and one touchdown.

The Black Knights jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Tulane followed with 28 unanswered points. The Army comeback began as the end of the first half approached. Bradshaw ripped off a 41-yard run that placed the Black Knights 19 yards from the end zone. John Trainor found pay dirt on the next play as Bradshaw's pass narrowly went over the hands of an outstretched Tulane defender. Army cut the lead to 28-14 with 1:40 showing in the half.

Army created a special teams score at the conclusion of the next Tulane drive. As Tulane's Zachary Block went to punt the ball away on 4th-and-10 from his own 35-yard line, Army linebacker Andy Davidson broke through to block the attempt. Linebacker Kenneth Brinson scooped the ball up at the 21-yard line and ran in for the touchdown. It was the first time Army blocked a punt since the Navy game last season, which was also returned for a touchdown. The Black Knights trailed 28-21 at the break.

My name is Ellie and I am in seventh grade. I took a picture of a pair of uggs. My goal was to take a picture of a symbol that showed how not all people have the wealth to get the things they need, such as shoes, clothing, or food. I personally haven’t had this issue in my life or my family’s life which I am truly thankful for. But I feel as though all the people in the world should know about this issue and how it affects our world. People today shouldn’t be in the streets, mothers shouldn’t have to see their children die from hunger or thirst, and no one should be living off of a grocery cart. I considered the ice under the boots when I took the picture because it represents the challenge to get the things you need in life or to break through ice. I like how the picture is simple, just boots, ice and nature, but symbolizes the significance of my injustice. I am going to donate more of my clothes to different organizations. And also I will ask for people to donate money towards different organizations as a birthday present rather than asking for stuff I don’t need. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

when I was deciding on a tattoo, I considered so many words to be permanent in my skin.

that summer The Boss released an album of Seeger covers (someone I had listened to since childhood), with the title "We Shall Overcome".

I knew instantly.

My summer evenings watching the sun die down over the mountains sounded like Glory Days,

every night under that wide Cape Breton sky blanketed in stars I listened to We Take Care Of Our Own. Dancing in the Dark and I'm on Fire were the soundtrack to secret smiles and the first time I knew how much I loved him, and Nebraska pulled me through when it was gone. I remember cruising along the coastline with my father singing Pay Me My Money Down and Froggy Went A Courtin' at the top of our lungs, laughing together more than we had in a long time. The shivers of happiness at No Surrender and Better Days, humming them softly around a campfire. I remember crying the first time someone gave me a Springsteen record and hunting ruthlessly for the second and third and fourth. I will never forget the hard times my family faced and having heard the words "We Shall Overcome" there was no doubt that I wanted these words forever.

When I hear the words "music changed me", its not hard to believe. But personally, its more along the lines of "I can't imagine being able to re-live those things so vividly without the help of hearing those familiar songs".

Thank you, Bruce Springsteen, for helping me remember, and thank you Pete Seeger, for the folk lullabies.

At the end of the north aisle at Knowle a delicate stone screen delineates the projecting north chapel which now serves as a memorial chapel for the Great War.

The east- facing window has some beautiful Arts & Crafts stained glass, commemorating three young men from Knowle who never returned from the War; They are portrayed kneeling (bottom right) before a desolate, devasted landscape in the lower half, whilst above Christ welcomes them with a company of angels.

The most unusual and interesting feature is the way the celestial and temporal parts of the composition are separated by receding flames of war, emanating from the Devil on the left. Lucifer is shown as a gnarled, purple grey winged figure, wrapped in tendrils of fire, a most imaginative representation of the angel of Darkness.

any calamity in flash flood.

CHITRAL: Focus Humanitarian Assistant for Pakistan Chitral

branch arranged a three days long training for volunteers group as well as for

local community to train them how to recovered injured persons safely from

debris and dead bodies in flash flood. ICIMOD financially supported Focus for

these activities. The volunteers groups were trained how to remove debris in

case of flash flood and to recover injured person safely without any more

harming them and dead bodies if any. Their volunteers groups demonstrated of

desk cutting, wall cutting and iron cutting in case of collapse of any heavy

building to recover the people inside the building with a safe ways. They also

used of snake eye camera in their demonstration to search human body inside of

a collapsed building. They physically and practically demonstrated carrying of

any injured person or dead body across the river with the help of a rope where

there is no bridge or any other source of transportation. These training of 7

days and finally of 3 days was a part to develop awareness among the local

community regarding response in case of any naturally disaster, calamity like flash

flood, earthquake and flood or fire.

These search

and rescue teams comprising over male and female volunteers sophisticatedly exhibited

of giving first aid to injured persons in case of any emergency. All these activities

were done at Reshun canal where focus volunteers traveled with the help of a rope

across the river and shifted injured persons and dead bodies if any to train and

aware the local community how to overcome these crises in such circumstances. Amir

Muhammad program Manager supervising all these activities. In this connection a

simple but prompt function was also held at Reshun to pay tribute to local volunteers

and community especially women folk. Dr. Karim of AKHS was chief guest on the on

the occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Bubul Aman Vice president of

BLSO. The speakers stressed upon the local community to must benefited from such

fruitful trainings and workshop to overcome any critical situation in case of natural

calamity. They said that this is responsibility of every human being to save the

others, which is the real destination and main objective of Islamic teachings.

and prepared a group of 19000 both male and female. In 47 Clusters. He said

disaster management awareness is must for citizens to use their skill in case

of disaster. He said majority of inured people were died at tremendous

member of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) said that main objectives of

creation of human being are to save and support other people when they need their

help. The speakers emphasized on local community to must train and be aware

regarding participating in any search and rescue activates. A large number of

male and women folk participated the ceremony.

The #12 Winston-Salem State University Rams could not overcome costly penalties and a late fumble, as they fell to #23 Valdosta State 22-17 in Powder Springs, GA Saturday evening.

The loss drop Winston-Salem State to 1-1, while Valdosta State improves to 2-0.

The game was a rematch of the 2012 DII National Championship game, and it lived up to its billing in an exciting game.

After a scoreless first quarter, Valdosta State got on the board first on a Jake Medlock one yard run for score, and the ensuing two point conversion game the Blazers an early 8-0 lead.

After another Ram punt, the WSSU defense bowed up, with Terry Ross intercepting a Jake Medlock pass and returning it 52 yards for a touchdown to move the Rams to within one at 8-7.

But Valdosta State would answer right back with a 10 play, 70 yard drive finished off by a Cedric O'Neal three yard run to push the Blazers back out to a 15-7 lead heading into the locker room at the half.

WSSU would take the second half kick and march 60 yards in 12 plays, but could only manage a 21 yard field goal from Alejandro Suarez, as the drive stalled, cutting the Valdosta State lead to 15-10.

Once again however, the WSSU Rams could not get off the field on third down, as it led to another Blazer score. This time O'Neal reached the endzone from five yards out to push Valdosta State out to a 22-10 lead in heading into the fourth quarter.

WSSU's Phil Sims would lead the Rams on a long 14 play, 99 yard scoring drive, capped by Sims' first touchdown pass as a Ram, when he would hook up with Marcel Caver for a 15 yard scoring pass and reception to pull the Rams to within five, at 22-17.

Winston-Salem State's defense would continue to play well and forced VSU to punt on several occasions, and the Rams seemed to have the momentum as they would get the ball back with 6:52 left to play.

Rudy Johnson would lead the Rams on a 10 play drive, but on first and goal, Johnson would turn the corner and would score, but eh play would be called back for a holding penalty. On the next play, Johnson would be hit and fumbled and Valdosta would recover at the 12 yard line.

The WSSU defense would stand tall once more, to force a punt, but Valdosta's Medlock would pinned the Rams deep, as he would kick a 75 yard punt, pinning the Rams at the two yard line with 1:09 left.

Phil Sims would find Donovan Rasberry twice, and Jamal Haizlip once to get the ball to midfield with 10 seconds left to play.

But on the final play, Phil Sims' hail mary pass would be knocked down at the goal line, giving the Valdosta State Blazers the 22-17 upset win.

Winston-Salem State did out produce the Blazers in yardage (399 to 391), but the Valdosta State defense kept the pressure on Rudy Johnson and Phil Sims all afternoon, forcing the Rams into just 15 of 44 passing. WSSU was also flagged eight times for 71 yards.

Offensively for WSSU, Rudy Johnson led the rushing attack with 14 carries for 64 yards, while Maurice Lewis rushed 12 times for 42 yards. Tyree Massey rushed seven times for 34 yards.

Phil Sims finished the afternoon just nine of 29 passing for 146 yards and one touchdown, while Rudy Johnson went six of 14 for 116 yards.

Marcel Caver led the Rams in receiving with five catches for 57 yards and one touchdown, while Eric Williams finished with three catches for 80 yards. Bronson Green (40 yds), Jalen McDaniel (37 yds) and Donovan Rasberry (34 yds) had two catches each.

Terry Ross led the Rams defensively, with 11 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup and one interception returned 52 yards for a score. James Hickman finished with nine tackles and Duvontae Covington finished with seven, and Xavier Gregory six tackles on the afternoon.

Winston-Salem State will come back home to Bowman Gray Stadium next week for another tough out of conference matchup, this time hosting the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University at 6:00 pm.
