The griddle was suspended from a large tripod and was spun to ensure even cooking. Simple but effective. The white area in the background is snow.

My son made dinner for the three of us on my apartment complex's barbecue grill.

Delicious: steak, baked potato, and this combination of green peppers and onion.

Several passersby commented on the good smells :)

I'm horrible at grilling, so I can't even tell you how long these grills have been on the premises. They weren't here when I moved in 8 years ago. Heh.

I liked the handwritten lettering done for the charcal lighter fluid bottle.

This was on the other side of the bottle. Nice lettering styles.

Juicy kebabs are arranged on a slate platter, garnished with fresh herbs. Sliced onions and tomatoes add vibrant color, showcasing a delicious meal perfect for any occasion.

The Cadettes made new friends during the Outdoor Adventure. Unfortunately, I was standing in the Bieber Hole!

But, here’s a twist on this favorite seasonal treat that offers a flavor that can’t be compared- grilled watermelon! It’s an easy and fun way to extend the deliciousness of this summertime fruit! Go ahead and “grill mark-up” a slice or two!

This is perhaps my most fantastic foto of this year... Shocked! Shocked I tell you to have gotten it with a telephoto lens without strobes--from 2m away!!

All pics taken with a Canon G12. A few pics of the brands I enjoy using for backpacking, camping and hiking.

Smoked this bird and baked another in the antique oven... yeah... I do windows too!

Not of intrest to many, unless you happen to be an avid outdoor chef..... notice the silver thing behind the coals.....

To get enough heat in the brinkman to do a turkey in the cold November weather, I cut a hole in the back and turbocharged the smoker (Tim The Tool Man Taylor would approve) by attaching a Mr Heater propane heater. This suplements the heat from the coals and allowed me to easily maintain 250-270 deg or more if needed for poultry. Wet pecan wood was still added to the coals to generate a delicate smoke. A tin plate can be bolted on when the Mr Heater is removed and less heat is needed for fish and such....worked great and was much less money than a new high tech smoker!

The Cadettes of Troop 328 very kindly hosted a wonderful Outdoor Adventure camping experience for the daughters of the Leaders taking this Overnight Training Class. This Project was the Troop's Silver Award, which is a very prestigious award for hardworking Scouts and encourages Leadership Skills.

At the fiesta there was a Paella served for the local citizens- this was all that was left: a clean Paella pan and some Paella vouchers. Need I mention that it was delicious? The pan is so large it takes 6 people to lift it.

---------------

Each Leader built her own small campfire, which was added to our cooking campfire. Can S'mores be far behind?

Also shown is the miraculous cardboard box covered in foil that baked all of our yummy dessert cookies and steaming biscuits.
