Les plis dans le roc seraient des à l'écoulement d'eau au fil des millénaires.

Flying over the outback of Northern Territory. It`s worth noting that these parts won`t normally be so green. Heavy rain over the Christmas period has helped add a bit more colour to the landscape...28/01/17

I so Luv those never ending outback roads. . .

The gale force winds around Sydney and rains inland NSW have prevented our weekend plans of flying to a large goat property near Wilcannia . . . .so I will live retrospectively via an old shot taken at Tillmouth Well on the Tanami Highway NT during our trip last may.

The kids and I went for a walk this afternoon and this is one of the flowers that we came across.

I'm not sure what it is, I'm not good with plant names. it sort of looks a bit like a grevillea but the leaves aren't flat. So, if anyone knows, please let me know.

We live in the Outback of South Australia where it is very dry and the summer is very hot. It is winter here right now but it was a lovely day where jumpers / sweaters were not needed at all. A beautiful winters day.

We had a lovely walk. My oldest (3) and I chatting contentedly along the way.

Extra braze ons under the top tube for mounting a frame bag.

Farina was once a thriving rail siding, parr of the famous Ghan Railway linking SA with Dawin. Many thousands of cattle were loaded here, mostly from the huge Kidman cattle empire. When the Ghan changed route about 40 years ago this little town deceased...it's interesting to see all the old tracks, bridges, biulding ruins, etc along the rails route to Dawin.

I shot this at sunset hoping for a red glow, but yellow was ok :)

What do you call a mob of roadtrains all on the same bit of outback highway?

The answer is ... the lifeblood of our Outback.

These roadtrains are on an outback Aussie highway between Mt Isa and Cloncurry in far north west Queensland.

This huge salt lake system is 150km in length and has long held a place in my imagination since I was a little boy. Now, at last I get to stand on the salt at sunset and then again at dawn. Its was in its normal dry condition, and being surrounded by desert it is very cold at night. I took this image near the neck of the South lake at dawn. It was a surreal feeling--salt , but sort of looked like I was on ice!

As the sun was setting this reflection off an old abandoned railway cottage window caught my eye. I can't believe I carted the camera 1000 km & had it set to low quality from a previous work shoot.
