Some very pretty colours were my reward for getting up early for sunrise last Saturday - could have done without the breeze waving the flowers around. I just love the colours in the Outback.

My sister and I were driving home north from the Whitsundays, the sun was setting and I was keeping an eye out in search of an interesting landscape to silhouette. Sadly we didn't come across any lines houses or bush windmills... but I think this one came out ok.
An old shack I passed on an outback road, full of old cars. I'm not even sure if anyone was living there, but it appeared abandoned. Somewhere in Outback Queensland, Australia.
There is something magical about being on the cover of a major Australian publication that is marketed towards farmers, cattle rustlers and associated earthy folk. They are all part of the amazing Australian Outback, a place I have grown to love.
Is this some sort of breakthrough for Light Painting Photography? I know the Ball of Light is certainly feeling pretty stoked.

The Mitchell grass plains stretched for 200km NE of Bedourie. Saw one cattle station, but no vehicle or people for a couple of days. But somebody uses the road, judging by the jettisoned blown out tyres.

Just a little rain and this soil become a boggy mess. Easy fixed-- just move the track over after the earth returns to normal :)
