I meant to post this a while back.
Last year's Christmas windows were either staggeringly dumb or cheap but this series of paper cut-out ones at Tiffany's were small but stunning.
i don't know who made them but they feel a little Rob Ryan.
The gardener at Dundurn Castle Garden has just pulled out a carrot from the cold frame, while being taped by CHCH TV for a news story.

we went caroling, and this is my friend's tree. i wouldnt put so many colours on mine...i like the regular white (or clear) ones. :]
yeahh...i KNOW the window on the left distracts it. sorry, i was wayy too hypnotized by the lights to care.
Meet Joris he was stood in Vondel park looking very bored. So out of intrigue I wondered over to ask him what he was up to. He was working on a commercial shoot for Lay's crisps. The crew had gone off leaving him to guard the equipment. He got very nervous when I was taking his photo but was friendly to chat to.

During a walk on Sunday. We walked from Dunkirk to....somewhere a few miles. Got lost in the woods. Only just managed to get out before the sun set and disappeared. We were attempting to walk Dunkirk & Denstroude on this route no.3 www.theblean.co.uk/visiting-the-blean/walking/
but decided to make our own route back. It was very muddy, it was getting darker and we emerged from the woods at Upper Harbledown. The GPS on our phones really let us down, it kept showing us as being almost in central Canterbury so we had to rely on our wits to get out (and the sound of fast moving traffic in the distance, of course. Thus we walked another 2.5 miles back to the car in Dunkirk. Interesting adventure. Reminded me how much I hate walking along paths beside very fast moving traffic on A roads at night. We will do more of The Blean walk, but perhaps in summer with a better map and when there is less mud!
I should add, this was one of the easier parts to walk, not too much mud here, but the worst parts were flooded and waterlogged, how we managed to stay upright I do not know. I think we walked 9 miles instead of the expected 4.5miles the walk suggested!
Took some down time, haven't posted much on line, here or at my blog, but I thinking that should change soon.

So, on my commute home this friday evening, I started taking pictures through the windshield at stop lights. Before, I had noticed that the left brake light seems to the one that is inoperable when any one of them goes out. On tonight's commute - I found 3 examples confirming this "theory".
While Ghoulia is newer and it's understandable that she only has one doll, what about Deuce & Lagoona!?! They need more dolls! Hopefully they'll get them next year.

Having been out on one of the enjoyable sunset and dolphin boat trips from Pula, we were returning late in the evening to this view of the moon over the Roman Amphitheatre. Taken hand-held from a moving boat, so long exposures not possible!

Be the person that finds beauty in everything instead of the person that has to have it pointed out to them. Some may see vandalism and nature that is ruined, but look past that. Look at the time people spent at this place, the memories that were made, and the adrenaline they felt while spray painting this rock. Don't look at life so shallow, think deep. See past the surface of how everything may seem to be.
