Wow, someone from my building is renting out their unit. I guess I could do the same too. Any takers? I would throw in some rotten eggs and dirty laundry for free. They should come in handy for those out-of-town protestors.

I had a go too: it was great low down, as in the first pic, but it was quite unpleasant higher up. Quite a shock, as you can see!
NO substitute for the real thing, and as it has digital controls almost certain to go wrong as soon as the warranty runs out.
At least if your masseur dies on the job (so to speak), the money already spent is not wasted.

The huge studded wooden door, ornamented with a lion's head door ring, is locked with seven locks (and seven different people have the keys, including the president) and leads to the chamber that houses the Bohemian crown jewels (which are rarely on public display).

Long write-up for today's batch of awesomeness.
First off. This whole covid thing, the election, working from home, not being able to go out, not seeing friends/family, etc. Has me, and I'm sure everyone else frazzled. Having a project to work on, in my case hiking out and shooting photos of graffiti on trains has been the one thing that's keeping me sane at this point. Hoping to see some new pieces from writers that I respect is like opening a pack of baseball cards and finding your favorite players rookie card for me. Yeah, it sounds goofy, but I've been having fun, staying sane, and seeing and capturing some amazing pieces of rolling art.
So I had this weird Monday vacation day on 11-2-2020. I decided to drive out to one my my benching spots and hang out for the day.
The plan was to set up a time lapse camera, and then just hang out and bench freights for 5-6 hours. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze, 88F. high. No clouds makes for a very boring time lapse between trains coming by. I also only brought my little Small Rig clamp for the time lapse camera and couldn't decide where I wanted to clamp it. I should have just brought a tripod.
Out for a few hours before the BNSF guys in their truck rolled up, got out and started walking toward me. "Great!" I thought. They're going to try and chase me away. Nope, they walked over to one set of tracks, walked across the bridge inspecting the tracks, then under the bridge inspecting the bridge, got in their truck and left. I like that. I don't bother you. You don't bother me.
A while later I see tree guy coming back home. I don't know his name, but there's a guy who lives in/under a tree that's next to the trail I hike in on. Once he's in there you'd never know it. I've seen him, he's seen me, and we don't bother each other.
The whole time I'm there I'm using my little Tascam recorder to record train audio every time one comes by so I have audio for the slideshow videos I've been uploading on YouTube. Well, this time I forgot it out there. Didn't dump my photos until Tuesday night and discovered it missing. Woke up early, drove out and it was still there. It recorded for almost 5 more hours before the batteries died. Glad to have it back, I thought tree guy might have found it.

I was cleaning out our garage today and stumbled upon a box of old 1970s-1980's albums in mint condition. This photo is one that I took of the album cover. I can't take credit for the original photo or cover art unfortunately...just having fun, showing these old album covers...enjoy this blast from the past!

This was going to be it. This is unedited (sooc) apart form the square crop. Such great colours. Let me know if you think I have made the wrong choice!
After a good time here on flickr it's time to move on.
Thanks all for dropping by and having a look around over the years.

On Saturday, Conor had a shoot for React What! clothing. I tagged along to help him out with lighting and different positioning of the models and took some random shots of my own. Check out his set at - www.flickr.com/photos/conorkeller/sets/72157619415045864/
Loadhaul lost out in the shadow-privatisation process when all 50 Class 58s locomotives were allocated to Mainline Freight. The careworn condition of the locomotives in the base image has limited what I’ve been able to do here, so a further rendition in Loadhaul livery may be warranted when a sparkling example appears on the gala scene. For now, thanks to Flickr user for his image of not-so-sparkling 58001 at Barrow Hill in 2007 (12-May-24).

Have had an awful week, feeling really low and lacking in inspiration. Think I have lost my mojo! The ballhead on my tripod has broken and I'm waiting for a new one, so no tripod this weekend :( on a more positive note I should hopefully be getting hold of photoshop today...maybe that wil cheer me up!
It's O.K. to be different.
This is another Canon FD 50mm 1.8 reversal. I'm in love with the bokeh from this lens. =)
I you guys are curious, it was with the 50mm in this past shot I have here.

Out of reach,
So far
You never gave your heart
In my reach, I can see
There's a life out there
For me ...

Shot from minutes after the Box alarm call at 1:43 am to the fire being struck out at 9:30am.

Tribune reporter
9:42 a.m. CDT, September 30, 2012
An extra-alarm fire on the Northwest Side early Sunday morning destroyed much of a four-story brick building and brought more than 200 firefighters and paramedics to the scene, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Crews battled the 5-11 alarm blaze in the 2600 block of West Nelson Street in the Avondale neighborhood for hours until it was finally struck out about 9:30 a.m. Some crews are expected to stay on the scene for much fo the rest of the day.
It's not clear what caused the fire, which started before 2 a.m. and had spread through the top three floors of the multi-use building and caused the north wall and some of the floors to collapse. The blaze also prompted a hazardous material response.
Thick black smoke from the building cast a haze over the neighborhood as the plume drifted south.
Firefighters wedged in between neighboring buildings and the wall predicted its collapse and were warned over fire department radios that it could happen.
When it did, firefighters atop a ladder near a west corner of the building yelled to a dozen firefighters below to watch for the power lines, which shook violently but didn't fall when the brick wall came crashing down.
Fire engines and trucks, along with different types of support vehicles, lined Elston and Belmont avenues and many of the side streets adjacent to the burning building, one of the tallest in a neighborhood of frame homes and commercial buildings.
As of about 8:30 a.m., nobody was injured, according to the fire department. Chicago police blocked traffic to local streets. Flames continued to jump through the roof of the building, even as firefighters lobbed streams of water from different sides.
Onlookers poured out of their homes, sat on porches and walked slowly toward the fire to get a closer look.
"We came out at three – at first I couldn't figure out why the street was closed, we just heard a lot of noise," said Nancy Cervantes, who stood with her 9-year-old grandaughter outside the scene.
"She's never up this early," Cervantes said of her granddaughter Narissa, who alternated between concentrated attention to the fire and jogging back and forth across a parking lot. "I woke her up so she could see this … to see how firemen and policemen all work together, with the table set up (with refreshments) and the gurney (with supplies)."
