Despite lots of people crowding the kitchen and hallway, the living room still filled out quite a lot. I guess there were quite a lot of people here!
The US Forest Service rents out decommissioned forest fire lookout towers (they now use planes) to the public. The structures are pretty old, but well built. We stayed two nights. Worst sleep of my life (owing to the howling wind, tower shaking) but waking up 40 feet in the air with panoramic views ain't half bad.

I found an exposed film in the back of an old box brownie. I developed it and discovered this forgotten picnic. I wonder when it was taken and who they are. They look genuinely happy, so why did they never develop the film?

It was such a great time having my parents come to visit and go out to the Mississippi River and watch these several bald eagles fly around. Especially when two eagles would take off and dance with each other mid-flight.
