After a 34 year career I've called it a day, I'm now officially retired.
I will be getting back to posting and commenting and look forward to catching up with everyones streams.
Took a little roadtrip yesterday up to Salem, MA. Came back with a photo of a brick wall. That's so me!
Happy Sliders Sunday!
View from a nearby farm. Views of land such as this, as for views of water, are never the same, no instant like any before or any to come.

Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight
Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come trueAnd even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

Happy Wednesday everyone... thank you for the support and kindness!! Be well! 😊
As we were heading home we found a very small pond that had nesting Black Terns.
The Black Tern is very social. It breeds in loose colonies and usually forages, roosts and migrates in flocks of a few to more than 100 birds, occasionally up to tens of thousands.
Terns' steady wing beats and buoyant movements have earned them the name "sea swallows"

...When the young can spread their wings and fly, life gets that bit easier. The average speed of swan flight is approximately 18-30 miles an hour, while migrating swans can reach 60 miles per hour - internet sources.

Had an epic road trip for work today. I took this shot on the way home - I found a side road and drove until I seemed clear (no trees in the way) and set up the tripod. I got a few shots looking more to the left and then took this shot just before I left. It was hard to see because it really was pitch black, so I didn't realise I had so much of my car in the frame - I love how the stars are reflecting on the windscreen!
Now the heat has come and insects and plants are popping up and creating life after a cold winter and spring.

“Have you ever looked at the bud of a magnolia flower? It’s a tight little pod that stays closed up for a long time on the end of its branch until one day, out of nowhere, it finally bursts open into this gigantic, gorgeous, fragrant flower that’s ten times bigger than the bud itself. It’s impossible to imagine that such a big beautiful thing could pop out of that tiny little bud. But it does.” – Joanna Gaines
