On a misty, moisty morning the water droplets in the air were so large you could see them wafting along in the breeze. I found crepuscular rays at a familiar spot.

I ran today's image through Poladroid in honor of 'Roid week - and also to disguise problems with shallow DOF in chosen camera settings. I didn't like my initial titles, and asked googleai for pretentious ideas and lazily took this one.

I have received a subject from the usual member's space. This is what was offered.
'Wings / chocolate mint / springy / pink / sky / chestnut rong hair / ponytail / feet with clawed nails'
I chose chocolate mint as the main motif.
I changed the way I layered the paint from before. I think this way suits the pattern better.

These photos are of a day we took a group of autistic children out to the Mohave desert for balloon rides. What an incredible day we had. It was perfect and the children were ecstatic as you could imagine. It was great fun. The personal rewards from this kind of activity are immeasurable.

それはさておき、わたしにも徐々に筋肉質キャラが描けるようになってきていて嬉しい。
When I sang of Japanese old pop song "Red Sweet Pea" under Ok, my image became nothing but a macho-looking brother, so brother and red sweet pea. It doesn't suit me 😶
Aside from that, I'm glad that I'm slowly getting better at drawing muscular characters.

For some reason, Hot Chocolate was on my mind while making this.
Processing note: Contrast enhanced with DXO filmpack (AGFA Scala preset) and a homemade Daidoish adjustment (exposure, contrast, and clear-view increased; blacks increased and whites decreased in curves to clip blacks and highlights).

This molded plastic clown fish subject is less than an inch long, and was photographed for Macro Mondays. The background hand gives a sense of scale. Several images exist in the pool with similarly large hands:

Processing note: This camera needs noise reduction and I used DXO prime. Analog Efex Classic Camera 5 preset made the image vivid with pleasant color shifts.
やとみちゃんの提案を参考に、金魚人外を描いてみました。
元になった金魚は「地金」。わが家のオランダ獅子頭はとにかくごつい。
地金ちゃんの可愛い感じが出ていれば幸いです。
このイラストを描く上で一番悩んだのは鰓の位置だなぁ。
I drew a goldfish the outside of human world based on Yatomi-chan's suggestion.
The model goldfish was 'Jikin'. The Dutch lionhead in my house is just too tough.
I hope the Jikin-chan looks cute.
The thing I had the most trouble with in drawing this illustration was the position of the gills.

I generated a Steam account to gift from and decided to make this playful image for its thumbnail. I liked the stars when viewed full size.
Looking for a different perspective on Roseville's flower sculpture. A pinecone was selected as a dark foreground element so that proper exposure will force the background into overexposed or high key lighting style.
Processing note: applied color efex filter : vintage, saturated fade to the high key image.
Some stapled Dinkytown phone poles have embedded thumbtacks, push pins, screws and nails. I prepared this as an alternate for Macro Mondays. It is a backup because it looks too much like an image submitted recently.
Processing note: This camera needs noise reduction. I used DXO prime. Silver EFEX high key, framed preset enhanced contrast and exposure.
Despite the temperatures it was most difficult to get some kids off the playground. One parent incrementally offered improving swag to force the issue: "Let's go home where it's warm. How about a snack? Hot chocolate? Fresh zucchini bread?" Hot bread was the winning offer.

I got out just as the fog was clearing, but managed a few low-contrast shots before it was gone.
Technical trivia:
The camera was in EXR mode, providing reliable focus but only JPG files. The image was enhanced in Topaz Restyle, blending the palette with one from a high contrast cross-processed image chosen to accentuate the depth of the image.
Utata/s weekend project (March 17th-30th 2018) is "lines."
Rothko came to mind initially but it may be more accurate to imagine Barnett Newman's thin vertical stripes.
Just humming Jimmy Buffet while looking in the mirror:

Utata's big project for 2021 is Utatascapes: Places in the world or in the mind.

One of Utata's projects has me thinking of framing images with a title from a Bob Dylan song. To make it more challenging I used a vintage JPG shooter and freeware Olympus viewer 3 (tilt, curves adjustment) and Aviary (brightness, contrast, Indiglow effect, color correction) to emphasize the splash.
Utata's summer project 2016 invites us to go... something. I added this to the "go nuts" category, which is for anything, because I tried a different, convoluted processing path.
