Due to some bus festival in Kent, not many enthusiasts bothered with this minor change in North-West London - the transfer of routes 389/399 to Sullivan Buses, using a Streetlite off the main 299 allocation.
The first day was brilliant, mainly because someone high up within the company was offering a 'welcome party' for all the residents in Hadley Wood, who were aware of the change beforehand and praised the "posh bus" as it trundled through this fascinating, fancy area.
The only negative - apparently there are no blinds for Barnet Western Way. These buses have been around for ages!
Other than that, a positive start for Sullivan Buses and hopefully they get to know this quirky route as well as the old operator did.
SL96 is seen along Camlet Way on the very first journey of the 399 under Sullivan Buses.

The Petit train de la Rhune or (in Basque) Larrungo tren ttipia is a metre gauge rack railway in France at the western end of the Pyrenees, in the Basque Country. It links the Col de Saint-Ignace, some 10 km (6.2 mi) to the east of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, to the summit of the La Rhune mountain (Larrun). Although this summit lies on the border between France and Spain, the railway lies entirely within the French département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

New contract - Go-Ahead London WVL418 (LX11CXA) on route 51 to Orpington Station at Woolwich on 08/12/2018
Route 51 was taken over by Go-Ahead London on 8th December 2018 using a mix of existing Volvo B9TL/Wright Gemini 2s and Alexander Dennis Enviro400s acquired from Tower Transit.
The route had run from Bexleyheath garage for a number of years before the then East London Bus Group (ELBG) owned Selkent took it over in 2008. Ten years later, the route is back at Go-Ahead London although it is now run from Orpington garage, with Metrobus' TfL services becoming integrated with those of Go-Ahead London in the intervening time.
Despite there being a fire at Orpington garage a couple weeks before the takeover, operations were relatively smooth for a first day.

First Cymru's Wright Gemini-bodied Volvo B7TLs, sourced from the Glasgow and South Yorkshire fleets in recent years, have become an endangered species, with their replacements starting to arrive. These are in the shape of eight Alexander Dennis E40D MMCs (33480-7) from the West Yorkshire fleet, which were latterly used on "Wharfedale Connection" Service X84 between Leeds and Ilkley, though cut back from Skipton.
33480 retains the name "Samuel Ledgard" - a West Yorkshire bus operator between 1924 and 1967- and is captured in January 2023 on Hendrefoilan Drive, Sketty, which leads to and from what remains of Hendrefoilan Student Village.
